Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[The news about Germania also shakes him. They never knew each other well, but he thought of him as another great power. Hearing someone broke his neck must mean there's someone even more dangerous out there, and he does not want to run into them.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[Once he's got the torch out he moves to turn it on, which probably isn't the smartest move but he needs to know and he keeps his blowgun ready, right before the torch slides out of his hand and drops it down onto the shape.]
Oh shit.
[He really hopes it's someone friendly and with a crap weapon that won't kill him for that.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[As carefully and quietly as he can he gets the taser out of his bag, making sure it's loaded before looking at the tree above him. His eyes are cold as he looks for someone hiding up there, but it's dark and he can't see much. The thought that they know where he is but he doesn't know the same about them is not a comforting thought.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[Once he's down on the ground he tries to be quiet, and if he was thinking about it he wouldn't have approached it like this but he's not thinking. Instead he whistles quietly, trying to identify who he is.]
Lithuania...
[He'd definitely not do this if he knew there was a taser involved. Those things hurt.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[As soon as he sees the shape of whoever-it-is coming closer and hears that whistle he pulls the trigger on the taser. Hopefully his aim is good; this guy looks at least as big as he is, and he doesn't want to take any chances in the dark.]
[It's only after the electrodes have fired that his brain processes that voice and he's horrified with himself. Apparently neither of them is very good at trusting the other during these kinds of things, but if Australia does go down there's going to be so much apologizing when he wakes up.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[As soon as the taser hits him -- Lithuania's got a good aim -- he lets out a noise of pain and he hits the ground with a groan. He's not unconscious, just, but he's in a lot of pain and he's not going to be getting up soon. He's not sure who it was, considering Lithuania...probably wouldn't taser him, and right now he's kind of expecting to be killed for his stupidity. Serves him right even if it's less stupid than some ways he's gone.]
Get it...over with.
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
I'm not killing you, you ass.
[He doesn't actually intend to criticize considering Australia just got hit with who knows how many volts, but if he's still talking it's probably not fatal. That was a really stupid move sneaking up on an unknown person with an unknown weapon. Without thinking he smooths Australia's hair back from his forehead, his face still stern except for the obvious worry in his eyes.]
Will you be okay if I move you somewhere safer?
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
Thanks...
[It's a little sarcastic but he's also relieved to see it is Lithuania. Once the pain stops he'll be really pleased, especially if Lithuania has food. It brings a small, strained smile on his face.]
Yeah, long as ya don't taser me again.
[Safer is good, and two eyes are better than one. Especially a tasered one.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
Wasn't planning on it.
[With that he carefully hoists Australia onto his shoulders, trying not to protest against the weight as he stands up. Australia is heavier than he is, so this is pretty much the only way he can carry him for any significant distance. Unfortunately that'll make them a target if anyone notices.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[Before Lithuania picks him up he scrambles for his torch on the ground, which hurts, surprisingly -- he might have bruised it in that fall -- and he checks he has his weapon too. It all seems okay and he lets out a sigh of relief which turns into a grunt of pain as Lithuania lifts him.]
Got a blowgun with...paralysing poison in it. I'll keep an eye out.
[Now he's been stunned and he's with someone he trusts he's more focused on the survival thing. Well, that and he can't talk Lithuania's ear off while recovering like he wants to after two days of silence.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[That grunt doesn't sound good, and he tries to resist the urge to ask if Australia is okay. A quick once-over didn't show anything obviously wrong, and at this point it's probably just lingering pain from the shock. He didn't break anything or hit his head too hard, so hopefully it's not anything to worry about.]
Thanks.
[He's a little bit relieved that Australia doesn't have anything that would kill someone right away. After the excitement they just had he's not sure he could take it. He starts moving back toward where he and Japan were staying--there's a lot more shelter near the waterfall, and maybe he'll be able to let Australia rest and recover without having to watch from so many sides.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[ It was fine to travel with Lithuania for that short time, but he's too on edge to remain in one place for long, hence his fleeing and continued moving. So he won't get to meet Australia here, though it might be for the better -- the larger such a group is, the more they'd probably attract others to their location. ]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[He's had much worse injuries before and recovered, and while being tasered really hurts, it's not lethal. It might be useful to know how well it works on nations too, it's a silver lining.]
[As Lithuania carries him, he forces himself to stay alert, only stopping Lithuania at one point with a hand on his chest when he hears some noises. If someone else was carrying him he'd be more concerned about where they were going, but he trusts Lithuania and he looks like he has a location in mind. It's a lot easier to do this as a pair.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[As they head toward the waterfall he pays careful attention to Australia, both how he's feeling and his reactions to the environment. It's going to be important for both of them to pay attention if they want to stay safe. Unfortunately, when they get to the place he was staying with Japan, he finds that Japan has already left. At least he left a blanket? That might actually be useful for getting Australia back to normal.]
...Well. Japan was here with me, but I guess he's gone now.
[Very carefully he sets Australia down, trying to get him comfortable and spreading the blanket out over him. It seems like the least he can do.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[The sound of flowing water perks him up slightly, a fresh water source and the potential for fishing sounds promising for when he's recovered. He's about to ask how Lithuania found it when he mentions Japan was here. It's a shame to have missed him and he'd almost prefer a larger group, but he can understand the urge to keep moving.]
He's alright too?
[Since Japan is a friend of his too, he'd hope he's doing the best he can in this situation. He pulls his duffel bag under his head as a makeshift pillow while Lithuania arranges the blanket, and settles in for a while. He'd feel a little guilty about making Lithuania take care of him in a life or death situation, if it wasn't for it partly being Lithuania's fault he's currently hurt.]
And how are ya doin' too?
[Also a genuine question, because if Lithuania is injuried or about to flip he'll try to do his best to take care of him.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[Japan seemed more nervous than usual, but he did have at least one grenade. Most likely more. While Australia is getting settled he sets up too, getting the taser back out and putting it nearby and hesitating before taking the sword out too. Might as well be prepared, and showing his hand to Australia probably won't backfire on him.]
I'm fine.
[Or as fine as he can be in this kind of situation. He has his choice of weapons, a source of water, and an ally. Even if that ally is down for the count by his own hand for right now. ...Oops. Maybe he's a little low on sleep, but that's pretty much his usual.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
Sword huh? Figures you'd acquire one. Is it any good?
[If he didn't have a decent weapon he'd be a little envious but his isn't too bad. Plus he knows his flashlight might work too as one at pinch now. Beside, he's never been a swordsman. Too young. That's much better for both of them in Lithuania's hands.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
It's a little old-fashioned compared to what I'm used to, but it works.
[He wouldn't expect Australia to know what to do with a sword, but if they did ever get separated for some reason he'd feel pretty good about leaving him with the taser. Not that he needs it with the darts, but it's an option. He's been using swords just about since he formed.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
Shame there wasn't any armour. Probably too noisy though.
[He's not actively avoiding asking but he's not that interested in how Lithuania gained the sword or taser. What matters is he has it and even if they get split they've both got decent chances with their weapons. As long as he doesn't do anything stupid. Instead of worrying about that though he lets out a sigh and shuts his eyes. He's exhausted from both the shock and not sleeping properly, and as much as he wants to keep talking he should probably take advantage of this chance to sleep. He'll have to do the same for Lithuania later after all.]
Re: Battle royale - Night 3
[As long as Australia doesn't ask, he's not going to volunteer the information. He's not actively hiding it, but he's not exactly proud of resorting to stealing from unconscious teenagers (preteens? that's even worse).]
[Australia sighing like that draws his attention and he looks over to make sure hes comfortable before turning back to his guard duties. Normally he'd be doting more, especially with Australia hurt like he is, but they just don't have that luxury. Maybe when this is all over he can make it up to him.]
Sleep well.
[He's not sure how possible that's going to be for either of them in this situation, but maybe it'll be just a little better with them watching out for each other.]
