So I'm reading this book about the fall of the wall and he's talking about the New Years party where everyone got smashed and danced. Some people take down the GDR flag and cut out the communist part then hoist it and it is all very symbolic and serious. Then someone puts up a European flag and it's sorta like 'kay whatever.' Then someone puts up a Canadian flag and everyone lols because that's just silly, wtf.
