ITT: Stupid things you believed when you were little

(In honor of the "Why do you call Russia "Prussia"" person)

-When I was little, I thought that USSR stood for "United States of Soviet Russia".

-Less history/geography related, but I also thought that if we got a late frost in the spring, it could kill the buds and we'd have a leafless summer.
