Hi meme! How was your week? Mine was interesting. I just made pad thai noodles (this wasn't the interesting part) but the noodles came out too rubbery/chewy and I am disappointed. I'm also on an Izumi Yukimura kick today! Are you on any particular music kicks? (Also, man I wish you could embed videos on Dreamwidth! A gal can dream, I guess.)

2p is way too popular. And I think people forget that most of the designs aren't even canon, but popular fan designs. When I remind people of that, sometimes they get mad at me! Why?

The characters also just really aren't that interesting. If I have to see that damn pink England with his damn cupcakes again, I'm going to punch someone in the throat.

And that thing that's supposed to be Spain. Can we not.

I don't mind the other AUs because they are fun and entertaining and have lots of good art. And I wouldn't mind 2p either if it hadn't turned into what it is now.

Spain and England are together my very least favorite 2p. They're just ridiculous. Oh, Austria too.

The average male Spaniard is just not that dark. Make him tan from working or playing outside, fine. Give him olive skin, okay. But stop making him unnecessarily dark when there's no basis for it.

I think it was either a small comic or a simple drawing here on the meme way way back in the early parts. I still like them.

I like nyotalia when it's done right. But in the RP world too many immature fangirls use the female version of a character as just a version of a self-insert. The character isn't given any personality, it's just the fangirl's way of putting themselves into the Hetalia universe.

I like all the canon AUs

but I only like 2P when it uses the actual canon designs from the author and bases things more off history than headcanon.

I don't ship either of them.

I'm just a fan who wants to go through Tumblr without seeing people rave about how Destiel is CANON FOREVER THE END.

This fandom doesn't get olive skin, either. It's supposed to be a greenish tone with a hint of yellow and yet they give the characters a reddish colour.

This reminds me that now that Turkey has ben so much on the news I have noticed that, gasp, there are many pale Turkish people! But if you dare give Turkey that skin tone fandom would eat you. And then there's also this famous artist who drew her female India OC showing a disgusted face at canon India, and yet I prefer Hima's male bollywood star India to any of those ~exotic lady India OCs~ that were so common.

The nyos are adorable! It's fun to imagine how social norms/etc. would cause differences between the originals and the nyos, and I like all I've seen of Hima's designs and comments about them.

The 2Ps are fine. I don't seek it out but I don't cringe when I see it either.

I love the cats because, well, CATS.

I like nyotalia, but only if the characters' personalities/backstories are the same as the canon versions' with maybe some minimal changes. Otherwise they feel like OCs. Once I saw a nyo!Prussia who was sad that she had to fight in the army and couldn't be a "real lady". *vomit*
