Hi meme! How was your week? Mine was interesting. I just made pad thai noodles (this wasn't the interesting part) but the noodles came out too rubbery/chewy and I am disappointed. I'm also on an Izumi Yukimura kick today! Are you on any particular music kicks? (Also, man I wish you could embed videos on Dreamwidth! A gal can dream, I guess.)

I'm guilty of forgetting how much I like the pairing because I never see it. :'|

I think a lot of people like it in a casual capacity, but I don't see a lot of fanworks or even exclamations of "OTP!" about it.

+1 to your +1. I have no fucking clue. Even when I try to think of like, cute fluff with him and Liechtenstein, I draw a blank. And I tried to write porn once but that didn't get very far.

Maybe I should read some history and see if that helps, gah.

Yeah, I'm actually guilty of that as well. I ship them hard, but they have a tendency to fall off my radar in favor of flashier pairings.

I follow a couple people on tumblr who are into it, so that usually serves as a good reminder. And one of these days I'm going to finished my smutfic that's been languishing!

I think a lot of the problem with Switzerland is that he's so reactionary as a character. Most of the strips with him in canon are based off his reactions to other characters, so that can be hard to work with ~~and he can come across as boring on his own, like so many others~~.

But still, I don't get why wfen isn't more interested in him. :|a

It largely depends on the fandom. Borgiacest from The Borgias series is the fandom's OTP, for example.

I think Himaruya is into incest and he seems to enjoy drawing them together, so I'm positive we will get more strips with them. I just, ugh, turn into a puddle everytime either Belgium goes on and on about what an ikemen her brother is or how deep down he is a romantic or Netherlands does everything to please her, even dress as a reindeer.

Poor Edelweiss pair! I still love you, I promise.

I keep wanting to write something with them but as of right now I don't have any ideas. Maybe someday I'll get some inspiration. Also I would love to read that when you're done, if you're willing to share!

It IS weird that WFen doesn't do more with him, though, considering he's been around for so long.

I live in a crappy house in the middle of nowhere with my relatives. All the animals my mother insists on having have pretty much destroyed it inside and out. It's trailer trash levels of awful.

I like that I get to have pretty much any pet I could ever want, but it's not worth it having to deal with my relatives. orz

Sounds like Liet, too! I usually bounce him off louder characters when I get stuck with him, so that seems like a good strategy.

I just don't understand how a cute little princess with lots of big brothers can be considered boring! But she's my favorite girl so what do I know.

What made me love him was the idea of him sitting alone in his yard, surrounded by all these neighbors who irritate him... He'd never actually shoot them but he gives them the stink eye from time to time when they get within the boundaries of his lawn. /and there you have my image of Switzerland /meanwhile Lili pats his arm and brings him food from time to time
