I'm floating on a sudden wave of BFT feels right about now, so something with Prussia, France, and Spain fighting, fucking, and fooling around with each other over a long span of time, rolling in and out of friendship and enmity and alliance, through bedrooms and battlefields and bar crawls, and it's all just a fucked-up, mucked-up, glorious mess - and there is absolutely no sappy drivel about how they really, truly, deep down, wanted to be friends and peaceful all the time and wars are the fault of their evil bosses/governments/people and shit (blech).

A human AU would be interesting as well, come to think of it… maybe something with criminal syndicates...
