I don't always listen to music, but when I do it's usually quieter and lyric less. Lately I've discovered George Winston, who has solo piano albums on YouTube.

When I need to block out other noise, like someone else playing loud music or an argument going on downstairs, I go to rainymood.com and listen to rain sounds. It can be loud enough to block out other noise, but doesn't distract me.
