I am shocked that Seaworld is calling the film animal rights propaganda, truly shocked. I wonder, will they release a statement saying that it's normal and even good for them to have to drill holes into whales teeth because they are destroyed by aggressive behavior (chomping on bars, walls, each other) and poor diet? Maybe they should partner with a dental firm.

Presumably whales are smarter, enough that they show extreme unhappiness in captivity. Goldfish don't know up from down.

You're probably being facetious, but... A lot of people really could do with thinking more about owning goldfish before they get one, because many people severely underestimate the ideal setup that goldfish require to be fully healthy (and presumably happy). A goldfish can live for a very long time with adequate setup, but a bowl or an unfiltered 1-gallon tank is not it; 10 gallons is closer to the minimum, though that's still a little too small. Not to mention they're happier with friends, so that requires an even bigger tank. And certain types of goldfish require a little more attention and care (bubble-eyes are the more particular... from what I remember)

What I'm saying is, it's okay to own goldfish, but they require more care than just dropping them in a bowl and calling it a day, and people should be aware of that.

(And don't even get me started on bettas.)

Most aquariums, for example, contain many different species, some smarter than others, other than just whales.

This 10000000000x. It's also important to buy fish from a reputable store. I feel so terrible everytime I go to the pet store to get items for my dog, because of the dozens of fish crammed into a tank that is typically only suitable in size for one fish.
