I want a terribly tragic Prussia fic in which Gilbird leaves him for another nation.

…let me increase his pain by making that nation Austria. And Prussia is like falling over himself trying to make things right with Gilbird, baby come back, he'll buy better birdseed, he'll switch to whatever prissy-ass shampoo Austria uses, he'll, uh - he's dying, d'you hear that, Gilbird?! His feet are fading! You can't just abandon a dying friend!

Meanwhile Austria's snootily pretending he doesn't have the faintest idea what Prussia's talking about (which he says to Prussia's face right before playing a beautifully synchronized duet with Gilbird chiming in on the high notes). And Prussia's trying to convince Germany that this dastardly act of bird-thievery warrants if not immediate sanctions then at least a sort of… EU fine, or something. And Germany just wants everyone to shut up. Including the bird.

well, you can certainly argue with them too if you want to expend the effort.

my point is don't ever grit your teeth and think 'oh i'll just bear it' when it comes to annoying crap on the dash.

trust me. although i've never encountered royalists specifically, it is my experience that if you let annoying things stay on your dashboard they will only multiply. unfollow unfollow unfollow. there's no point in waiting as there's never going to be a perfectly appropriate moment to do it anyway.
