part 347 dimensions of sight and sound

and of mind. Do do do do do do do do do do do.

How was your end-of-December-into-January time, meme? Did you make any New Year's resolutions? Or light a candle in your window in the hopes that Himaruya would update again instead of leaving us behind like an 19th century light house keeper's wife whose husband has gone off to sea? ... Did you?

Enjoy part 347!

It's the thickest but not the longest

You mean posts with actual content and effort put into them, or things like "i don't want to go to school today" or "i just remembered how much i like sailor moon"?

One reason why I dislike Tumblr, Facebook and other sites like that is that some people seem to think it's necessary to live blog their lives and that it's interesting to others. I really don't need you to tell me every single thought that crosses your mind, thanks.

Romantically - almost everyone, but especially Romano

Platonically - everyone, but especially Germany because they have the best brother dynamics

I just love Prussia so much, and by extension, I like to see him do stuff with all kinds of characters.

Artists singing in a foreign language

(Anonymous) 2014-01-10 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you know any good artists who sing in a language other than their native language? I'm not really looking for people singing in English because there's no shortage of that, but something like a French-speaker singing in Russian, an Italian singing in Japanese etc. They don't have to sing all their stuff in this language, just one or two songs is enough.

The first two to come to mind since I'm a fan of both (yeah, even the first one...):

A Finn singing in German: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACz_f4C2IJI

A German singing in Italian: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOIPriLYdA0

Surprisingly, Phil Collins did almost all the European language versions (Spanish, French, Italian, etc) of his songs for Disney movies. Best examples are from Tarzan, though.

You said a French speaker singing Russian and I thought of this:

This totally doesn't count because it's in English but a Moldovan singing in English to the beat of Kalinka

None of this helps
