i think you should go with the scones sucking - that part was in at least one strip (possibly more than one), whereas the new note about sweets only mentions scones in the list (i don't think they're even pictured)

i really suspect this is all because himaruya went and had a scone somewhere and liked it. dammit, himaruya.
