i didn't dislike any of these, but i guess they fit under either unbelievable or simply uninteresting to me at first:
hk/iceland - some funny rp on the meme + some comic strips made me like it. i still see this as something of a crack ship, but that's fine.
prumano - LOTS of great fanart, great doujin, great fic got me into it. initially was not on board because of lack of canon interaction, but must say the personality clash is fantastic.
england/canada - ngl, at first i saw it as usuk v2 but with less baggage/personality conflict, which was boring to me. in some ways i'm still on the fence about it, but some fic playing up the daddy complex and dysfunctional relationship elements made it actually hot to me.
