I thought gender had very much to do with bodies, in it's original state. It was turned into something societal from its initial meaning and now it's not just physical but has elements of both the biological and mental. Maybe I'm off the mark?
Also, how is genderbend fetishizing trans bodies? That statement kind of baffled me, I'm really confused. I don't think people who genderbend characters even have trans people in mind, be that good or bad.
