B: gender is switched randomly but their gender identification changes. i.e. fem!Italy decides to identify as a girl instead of a boy if her gender is changed from boy!Italy. i think this is what OP is referring to - i only really like this option when they change back, really. if they're stuck like that, it can still be interesting, though, especially if they change gender identities along with their physical sex. overall, i like when their sexuality is bi even if they're genderswitched or put in a het pairing.
C: AU where the boys were born as girls and vice versa. Nothing else is changed other than potential historical lifestyles.
D: AU where the boys and girls coexist alongside each other, but they all have their own roles in their government and history and thus that's why the females aren't seen as often. they could be siblings or not. honestly, i find this option to be interesting, too.
there's also E: human AU!Nyotalia where they have no interaction with human AU!male nations, but that's probably my least favorite option.
