Uneventful except for going back to college. But it has been a good month, if I say so myself. Now all I have to do is kick myself in the pants so I can stop lazing around on my bum and start being more productive again.

As long as it stays away from manic pixie dream partner territory or making any gross implications about the character of grumpy types, I'll eat it right up.

Love triangles. I especially can't stand ones that are biased from the start and portray one of the potential love interests as a selfish jerk/rapist or make it otherwise clear that he is only there to be an obstacle on the protagonist's way to his real love. It really pisses me off when a fic is advertised as both A/B and A/C and then it's obvious from the start that C never had a chance.

On the other hand, when love triangles are done right, they leave me feeling so sorry for the rejected character that I can't enjoy the story, even if the end pairing is my OTP. At this point, I refuse to read love triangles unless I know beforehand that they end in threesomes or that the rejected character finds a new love and gets to be just as happy as the main couple.

Rock/punk band AUs. I just don't see what's so appealing about putting the character in stupid costumes, giving them piercings and tattoos and making them sing dumb songs.
