Reminds me of a time an artist posted a pic of Korra firebending, and people jumped in saying the artist was white washing her, because her skin looked was pale in certain places (which makes sense, since she was surrounded by FIRE and it would lighten her skin). And when the artist apologized? They went at it harder and saying "OMG HDU APOLOGIZE/WHITEWASHING/OPRESSUN" etc. Also this same artist did other pics of her before doing earthbending and waterbending, and her skin color looked fine.
