idk because i usually see things like 'oh, here's an opportunity to skew it this way in a fanfic!' but not necessarily like 'oh, here's canon subtext PROOF of the pairing!' if that makes sense? i tend to be more conservative when it comes to my actual interpretation of what happened in canon (i.e. unless it's OVERWHELMING subtext on the level of gerita in hetalia, i'll consider it open) versus what's good fap/fic fodder.
