We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

Only thing I can think of is that it's easy for me to picture Prussia, Germany or America as confident and even aggressive lovers.

I could see it going the other way too, but I don't find the idea of these guys dominating in bed being so ooc as much of meme seems to think.

Also, I'd have been ok with 2P as "darker" versions of the canon characters and see no reason why they should have the exact same personalities as the canon characters since they were clearly drawn with typical villain tropes in mind. 2P as an AU with Hetalia characters as "members of an evil organization" as Himaruya once said it might be, would've been fine with me and even interesting (though I would've preferred it as human members of an evil organization).

It's not the grimdark with 2P that bugged me, it's the freaking "opposite of canon" thing. I can be into an evil version of a character as easily as I can be into a nicer or more innocent (think coffee shop or student AUs) version of a character in an AU, but an "opposite" version is no longer a twist on canon but pretty much a completely original character.
