We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

...now that anon above brought up colonial America, god I want to see young America getting gangbanged. In uniform. By... let's see, should it be his fellow soldiers, or the british troops, or maybe the hessians - those hessians had some really damn nice uniforms, and (watch me grasp for my faint memories of history class from 2109898555 years ago) perhaps they need a little more incentive than the promises of land or whatever America had been offering them to desert and turn to his side. Perhaps they need something a little more tangible. Perhaps they need to... to feel truly welcome, here, you know, in this strange and foreign new world. Perhaps it would help change their minds if only America would be a good boy and welcome them with open arms... and open legs. And if he doesn't comply (and of course he doesn't; he comes into this of his own will because he thinks he can use his charisma as a new nation to seduce these petty humans, and by and by the situation spirals wildly out of his control), why, a little peer pressure works wonders when coupled with the rather more tangible pressure of a bayonet (...er, or sword? ffffuck I really need to wikipedia which weapons were in use back then) blade against the throat.

Yeahhh, I don't mind DLC in concept but it shouldn't be used as an excuse to chop out bits of the old game and resell those bits as new. C'mon, EA. One of the problems that's dogging the sims franchise is that it does feel a bit repetitious now - like we all know the next expansion is going to be something similar to Nightlife and we'll probably get the vampires, again, and then sooner or later we'll have a Pets thing and we'll get the same stuff from TS3 except TS4-ified... at this point, now that we've gone through so many iterations, I would've hoped they'd be putting MORE not less into the basegame. Like just stuff some of those regular old supernaturals into the base so they have room to go in a new direction and maybe think up some different supernatural sims than the usual for the expansions.

Make sure to tax him regularly for everything. He can pay off the bill with his body. ;)
