We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

Did you see her post that was basically "Elizabeth Bathory is innocent because I say so"? And it was odd that she was suddenly so concerted about the info re: Bathory coming from her enemies.... when her post about Empress Wu was basically chock-full of propaganda about her written by--dundundun--her enemies!

I was thinking of streaming Ring 2 or Rasen (which was the 'first' sequel but it was poorly received in Japan so they acted like it never happened and made Ring 2). Or maybe I could stream The Ring? Or would it be better to watch the Japanese films first, then the American... :|a

I think healthy food tastes better (for the most part) than unhealthy food.

Brazil and the United States have in common that both their Capitals were planned cities. In Brazil's case, it moved from Salvador to Rio de Janeiro, and then to Brasília because they wanted the capital to be at the center of the country.

As a kid, this did lead me to believe that every country had their capital in the center, and then was very confused to discover D.C. was located close to the east coast, and that many countries have their capitals near water if possible. Of course that makes perfect sense to me now...

It depends to me. Lots of junk food tastes bad to me.

speaking of movie streams, would you guys be interested if i decided to start streaming marvel movies on the weekend? i could do one, maybe two movies a weekend (one saturday and one sunday), then do agents of shield and possibly captain america: winter soldier when the DVD comes out...

i figure everyone naturally thinks those from outside their country/culture are weird.

but i do think in america we tend to forget that we don't count for quite that much of the world population. i'm an immigrant and have lived in america most of my life, and one thing that i've noticed is that in america, there isn't quite as much awareness of other countries than other countries have of america (mind, not that the awareness of america is accurate facts about america, but rather that other countries seem more generally aware somewhere-ish of american cultural norms as seen in movies/tv/music/games from america).

but the low-quality junk food stuff that's supposed to be a guilty pleasure, is often just boring tasting and unpleasurable and not worth putting that crap in your body

...shit now i want a gay horror movie. like a spoof of a horror movie but all the characters are gay and idk zombies are attacking a pride parade or something. something deliberately campy and humorous.

or it'd be cool if there was a seriously handled horror movie in which there is also a gay romance involving the lead character, but that won't happen anytime soon will it. /sigh

Like above anon, healthy food with good ingredients is awesome. But so is junk food with good ingredients. Pre-processed crap not so much, but real chocolate and potato chips and fried cheese. Well.
