We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

I have to mentally stop myself from reblogging people who make snippy comments about my Tumblr posts. I try to keep my blog as "professional" as possible but sometimes, sometimes I just want to reblog these people and go all out.

I hate them, actually. There are enough things in the world to be scared of, I don't need someone else to add to the pile for me.

no, can't take them at all unless whatever part of them is supposed to scare me fails to (in which case i might enjoy it but feel i'm doing it wrong); or if i'm with human company and also dog-sitting or cat-sitting an extremely cuddly animal that will then share my bed

If I couldn't handle those I certainly couldn't deal with something written with the intent to frighten adults

(also, note that Grim Grinnin' Ghosts' lyrics are all about how they're "not actually scary", but the visuals scared me so badly that I couldn't pay attention to the words)

It's hard to pick just one!

These days it's a toss-up between Livide and Fritt Vilt.

The Haunting is always good, though.

I loved Salem's Lot and Firestarter back in the day, but I haven't seen either of them in ages, so I'm not sure how they hold up. And Bless the Child is an old favourite, but it's kind of terrible.

Also I almost forgot The Ring, and that is awful, because I love that one.
