surely not the MOST stupid wank in fandom, but this one comes to mind: that time - which thankfully got deleted quickly - on the kink meme when some idiot decided that it was "triggering" and "insensitive" to make a joke about the 2013 government shutdown in america (which was tangentially part of a crack request which was, if i recall correctly, mostly about america stripping).

seriously. SERIOUSLY? just about every comedy show, tv station, radio, news blog, office, and random person on the street in this country was making fun of the government shutdown.

i think this special snowflake went around policing some other requests too, but then fucked off.
