ugh. remind them it's a holiday and if they persist in whining just be firm and professional.
unless you're direly in need of the money, from my experience it is way more hassle than it's worth to deal with overentitled clients; it they are unreasonable at this stage it's a bad sign that they may be difficult further down the line too.
