i think so for wfen, but UKJP is really big in japanese fandom, and i don't see quite as much USUK as i used to (but i'm mostly talking about doujins, so idk)

i wonder if some kind of data could be amassed. looking at the most common (i think) pixiv tags for USUK and UKJP, the latter dominates by about 12000 entries, whoa.

agreeing with Yuu & Zee about The Color of Magic! Especially Zee, though - I also really enjoy it and think he just gets better from there. I also think reading the little arcs in order is important - I read the Witches book out of order and I think that's why they're my least favorite. The impact of characterization & chronology was lost on me.

I read Jurassic Park a few weeks ago and couldn't put it down! I think even though it's a couple hundred pages long, it's a fast read. I was surprised at a few of the things that the movie changed!

I'm limiting myself to one chapter of SSSS per day. So today I'll be reading ch2 (but not quite yet, want to tl;dr in my journal first [eta: I just did.]). It's so hard not to binge-read it. :'| But! I can always re-read it all at once after I do get finished with it. Especially since I'll be receiving the book, so.

Ah yes, aRTD. Not going to lie, I had to push through it in the beginning. Which isn't exactly a glowing endorsement, I guess, but it does get better eventually, I promise. It's good that the author made the decision to do another comic first, rather than plunging feet-first into SSSS, because I feel that she learned a few things from making aRTD, as SSSS doesn't have the same awkward beginning.

(Also, I want to write an aRTD + SSSS crossover so bad now. But we'll see how I feel once I finish what's available.)
