part 361 jumping junebugs

It's gonna be already May! Have you done your spring cleaning yet? I can't believe the year is almost half over already, it seems like it's going so fast, too fast... ah! And we're only a few months away from a new season and hopefully a certain someone will finish up certain storylines they haven't finish coughcoughcough.

Enjoy part 361!

I have a few different collections! Uhhh my biggest is my doll collection, which at this point has to be stored away & rotated so it doesn't take up so much space that it looks cluttered. I collect mostly Disney dolls, Monster High dolls, Ever After High dolls, and some Barbie dolls. (Also some other movie related dolls, like a few Star Wars dolls!)

I usually try to plan out exactly what to add to my collection so I don't impulse buy... I kind of sort of went on a big impulsive mini Lalaloopsy doll spree a few years ago and I'm probably going to sell all of them off.

I find it a bit too rich/heavy in ordinary black tea, but in a strong concentrated tea it's heaven

I have so many collections that I am sure I will never be able to live in a tiny house with all my foolishly ephemeral material possessions. And I'm still collecting, orz.

I have tons of books, a generous collection of miniatures, a bunch of animu figurines from several years back, a bunch of little vases that I should use... I guess my collection of colored paper for art counts... oh yeah, and a bunch of little empty boxes. That one's my strangest collection, hands down.

Dishes, little foods, books, furniture, tools... I have a thing for miniature objects, and I used to be really into setting up my Barbie houses just right with legit miniatures from craft and doll stores. After I boxed up all my Barbies I kept the choicest housewares with me. I just recently set up the only empty bookshelf in my apartment as a little room just to give me a reason to have them with me, haha. I'd take a picture but it's laaate and I'm not sure where the camera is. ;o;;;;

That is really cool!! If you ever do take a picture you should share it! :D I think miniatures are really interesting, but my fingers are big and clumsy and I could never have the patience hahaha.

Poke me if you see me online sometime earlier in the evening EST and I'll see if I can find my camera then!

Now now, don't discount yourself, anon! I'm quite clumsy and have very little patience but make my often tiny papercrafts through sheer force of stubbornness! And while I'm aided by small fingers with long nails, I have a friend who makes teensy baskets and he has rather thick, blunt fingers. It can be done!!

MINIATURES

I like them too. I only recently got into them, though, with the release of those RE-MENT Sailor Moon miniatures. Do you like any particular brands? Or just anything that catches your eye?

Aaaa re-ment, I loooove re-ment but haven't been able to get it since the american business shut down and the only store in Portland that sold them stopped D: I should search harder, I really love some of the sets they put out!

Beyond that I don't really have specific brands I follow (and I haven't bought anything in a little while, which is probably a good thing for my wallet and storage space)

I will say that the more convincing and realistic something is, the more I'm charmed by it. I have a set of bitty mixing bowls that were really made with clay thrown on a wheel, and I'm building a small collection of miniature Wabanaki utility baskets. 'u'
