Nightmare on Elm Street 342: Freddy Applies for a Passport. I think it'll be a hit! Oh, meme. It's still October. The awesome-ist month of the year! For about a week and a half more, anyway. I have been watching horror movies and contemplating putting up fake cobwebs--but I think my cat might eat them. Do you think, meme--do you dare to hope--we might get some Halloween doodles from Himaruya this year?

Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever had any paranormal experiences you can't explain? Do you think there is anything to the "beyond"?

I believe that there's something, but I don't know if it's "ghosts" in the strict sense that most people use the word. Impressions, maybe?

50/50 for me

I'm science-inclined so I know there's no solid evidence for them.

But my friends had experiences in which there are many witnesses that corroborated with their story so I also think it's likely there are ghosts for real.

I'll need solid evidence not generated by one's own brain for me to believe in them.

For example, a ghost goes boo to me? Most likely my brain.

A ghost telling me that in a certain house, in a certain street, of a certain city, of a certain country, a 40 year old random stranger will be found dead at 5:05PM my time, and they're all unknown to me before and then it all actually happens? Less likely my brain.

Over the summer, a friend and I took a cross country road trip and visited a bunch of haunted places. Some were obviously touristy, but a few places were pretty downright creepy. I did have a few questionable things happen, but I don't know if they could be explained away scientifically or not.

I NEVER DID GET AROUND TO IT. I had planned to trade off driving with my friend so I could type it up along the way, but the first time she got behind the wheel, she crashed my car in the parking lot :| So I drove the entire way and was too tired at night when we stopped to bother.

And then after I got here, I had to deal with closing the purchase of my condo, then getting furniture for it cause I was sleeping on a lawn chair, and then I started work and they immediately piled on the patients and I'm five reports behind, ahaha... /working on them right now orz

It might get done someday.
