part 342 nightmares on elm street
Nightmare on Elm Street 342: Freddy Applies for a Passport. I think it'll be a hit! Oh, meme. It's still October. The awesome-ist month of the year! For about a week and a half more, anyway. I have been watching horror movies and contemplating putting up fake cobwebs--but I think my cat might eat them. Do you think, meme--do you dare to hope--we might get some Halloween doodles from Himaruya this year?
Enjoy part 342! And whatever you do: don't. fall. asleep.

31 Days of Meme Halloween
Today's Theme: Witches
Witches can be anything. They can be haggard old crones who live in the woods, doling out potions and magic to desperate people who seek out her guidance. They can be snarky young women who point a finger at someone and ZAP, turn them into a toad, for daring to cut in line at the supermarket. (A terrible problem, really.) And they can be--well, the sky is the limit!
I love witches. I really, really do. For this theme, I'm honestly just going to post a whole lot of witchery and invite you to do the same! I'll try to use subjects/headings to keep everything tidy, but feel free to just post your thoughts about witches, witches in movies, favorite books featuring witches--anything at all to do with those witchy women!

Witches going to their Sabbath by Luis Ricardo Falero
“Depart pour le Sabbat” by Albert-Joseph Péno
'The Witch's Sabbath' circa 1910
Step One: Show your respect by arriving to your fellow witch's domain at the properly appointed hour.
Step Two: Take off your clothes and submit to inspection.
Step Three: Fly up that chimney! (Watch out for bats)
Step Four: Meet your fellow witches in the air and carefully fly to your appoint Sabbath meeting place
Step Five: You've arrived! Now you are ready to bow and worship Satan.

favorite movie witches?
I think my favorites are the witches from--well, The Witches. How can you pass on Angelica Houston as the great and mighty Grand Witch? The witches from The Craft are also wonderful. ANd of course, The White Witch from The Chronicles of Narnia is just fantastic... regal, icy, and deadly.
Mildred Hubble from the Worst Witch is another favorite--she's such a pumpkin sweetheart!
And BROOMSTICKS, how could I forget the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus?!
