Part 10 is over! Part 11 is here. If you haven't checked the challenge entry, the challenge has been extended until Part 11 maxes. Hopefully that is enough time for people who are busy with finals and such to find time to enter, if they'd like to!

Should I mention that the number 11 scares me? I really don't like that number. Like how Natalie Portman hated the number 5 (or 6?) in Where the Heart Is. But a higher number. Well, anyway.

IDK, I see nothing wrong with Canada-abuse requests unless they've got elements like 'Canada going crying to so-and-so' that make them completely OOC. Goodness knows Americans on this meme have confessed their love for abusing their country often enough. ;)

That's what I meant. Abuse is 'normal' is darkfics where nations do shit to others, but the downright wangst/BAAAAAAWWWWWWing is what I hate.

Canada gets too many fics and fanart like that. I think as much as the Baltics.

Really? I don't look at the Baltics much but... yeah like every other request for them is some kind of hurt/comfort/abuse thing. :|

Comparatively, I've seen quite a few fics and requests where Canada's portrayed as a much more balanced character--with a spine, but without the tendency to go overboard with it that America has. ... Or maybe I'm just selective enough in my reading to avoid the rest. OTL

Personally this Canadian would like to see more fic in which Canada actually has balls, but maybe I'm in the minority.

I'm not even talking badass!Canada (though that's awesome too). Just some fic where he has a frikkin spine and isn't the most pathetic uke in existence.



actually i don't want to see any of the nations act like "ukes." They're nations, they've all gone through tough shit and they've all done terrible things. They can be sensitive without being cry babies.
