Part 11 comes after Part 10
Part 10 is over! Part 11 is here. If you haven't checked the challenge entry, the challenge has been extended until Part 11 maxes. Hopefully that is enough time for people who are busy with finals and such to find time to enter, if they'd like to!
Should I mention that the number 11 scares me? I really don't like that number. Like how Natalie Portman hated the number 5 (or 6?) in Where the Heart Is. But a higher number. Well, anyway.
Da Rules:
*No image bombing.
Da Notes:
*If you're feeling down, make sure to get help, and refer to links on previous parts if you need them.
*If you don't know how to post images while anon, refer to this comment. Make sure to follow the directions on that comment as well!
And also:
*Posting on this meme, logged in or not, is opening you up and taking the risk for positive and negative comments. If you can't handle that response to your logged in comments, I'd suggest posting anon and not drawing attention to yourself.
*What you say is what you say, so please make sure you want to say it. Except for special cases (that hopefully will not come up) I won't be deleting or screening comments.
*This is a NSFW space. Warnings are not required.
-Feel free to comment or message me with any questions/concerns.

(Anonymous) 2009-05-21 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)The best thing you could do is a complete shut down after part 4 maxes.
Part 3 wasn't even a QUARTER filled before part 4 opened, and that will be maxed too soon.
We writer!anons take time dammit! There's a two part back log, so PLEASE, don't open part 5 until half of the other two are finished, or at least until we have a decent catch up.

(Anonymous) 2009-05-21 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)Maybe it should come down to it being micromanaged?
A post for requests, a post for posting the actual fic, a post for posting the links/reports of fills.
And maybe there could be a regular freeze? Like a freeze for a week once a month or something, to help people catch up. And once a post of requests maxes, a freeze for 3 weeks.
then again that would involve a lot of work and the mods are too busy to deal with what they have now. It would certainly help with the maxing and backlogging, though.

(Anonymous) 2009-05-21 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)During the request freeze we mostly had continuing fills; the number of fills dropped by about one third per day and the amount of fill offers by at least half or more. I don't think shutting down requests is necessarily the best solution--but maybe it was just exams. Not sure.
I just don't want the so-called 'solution' to kill the meme completely, because I do enjoy the reading I get on there.

Re: >:(
(Anonymous) 2009-05-21 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)I haven't been doing any fills on the more recent part, but that's largely because the vast majority of the part 4 requests don't grab me. I look through, but I see nothing, bah. So the requests on my to-do list are from earlier parts.
