This is a very rambling post today, I'm sorry, I'm in a tired rush. A tired tired summer rush. Which, in my professional opinion, is the most annoying kind of rush. I prefer a crisp winter rush! Eh, to me people calling the Italies completely gay is more annoying.

You know, considering they flirt with girls. ALL THE TIME. And they definitely show more interest in women than men in canon.

So they're obviously not completely gay, and yet I see fans saying that pretty often.

And that Romano was has a strong preference for women ever since he was a babu and clearly stated that he would obey Spain if he was a woman.

People also insist that Romano had a crush on Spain when he was little, but he didn't. Who did he have the crush on? Belgium.

It's fine if people want to make him bisexual, but to act like he's completely gay is just ignoring canon.

Now that you mention it, authors making Romano gay in fics bothers me a lot for various reasons. As much as I ship him with Spain (and only with Spain), his womanizer side is too strong to ignore. I wonder why it's so hard to make him, gasp, bisexual.

(The other reason being that I find it hard to adscribe sexualities to fictional characters.)
