This is a very rambling post today, I'm sorry, I'm in a tired rush. A tired tired summer rush. Which, in my professional opinion, is the most annoying kind of rush. I prefer a crisp winter rush! But oh well.

[ Just stares blankly at her. ] Was I...?

[ but then he'll sigh. ] [ staring up at his clothes now -- > ( JAPAN used JUMP! ) > ( JAPAN retrieved his clothes! ) ]

[ and then he'll jump back down, the clothes in a pile in his arms. -- But then he rubs at his back, wincing slightly. ]

I was trying to take a bath... [ Trying, until she interrupted. ]

What, with your clothes still on like that? You'll catch a cold or something!

[Wait.]

... Or were you scared someone'll come take 'em all and leave ya naked?

[Like her. She would have. Yep.]



[She then notices he has a collar on too.]

Have any run ins yet?

There has been no one aside from the -- sheep with tentacles, so far... and you.

[ but she doesn't seem like she wants to attack him, so... ]

[ and well, that's not entirely true. He's also encountered Monaco, England, and the non-participating female Greece. But America doesn't have to know that, since no fights came out of those encounters. ]

-- And, I simply could not discount such a possibility, knowing the nature of this place...! [ he wasn't scared!! ]


Regardless, I won't catch a cold. [ determined! ]

Ew, that thing?! Man, you're lucky it didn't like, attach to your face or something! Who won?

[Nah, she's not interesting in attacking people. She's the hero, remember? Her job's to get everyone off the island and not look back at explosions!]

Yeah, it sucks, but it's weird most everyone's been real friendly so far. Maybe you don't have anything to worry about! We just gotta find a way off!

[Well, to her. Not like many people want to randomly attack America.]

Yes. And... [ after a moment of hesitation -- (wasn't the result obvious?) ] I did.

[ at least, it makes sense that she doesn't want to hurt him, anyhow. And he can be glad for that... ]

Perhaps that is so... [ he'll meet her gaze curiously. ] Do you have a plan, America-san?

Awesome! You go Japan! Show 'em who's boss!

[And laughs a bit.]

Uh, yeah! We've obviously gotta find their secret base, which is gotta be under one of the buildings on this island, then infiltrate it and wham! pow! blam! defeat all the bad guys and then the big bad boss then deactivate the bomb things before the timer goes off so everyone's okay!

[She's been watching too many movies.]

[ aaaand another facefault. ] I am uncertain if it will be that simple... ah, and thank you for the encouragement, I suppose...

[ he frowns, in thought. ]

The first thing we'd have to do, however, is successfully locate the secret base.

And then, perhaps we can attempt hacking... or we could even attempt that before finding it. [ there's an idea. ] But even that will take time... And who else would definitely help with such an infiltration?

[ other than perhaps his own two allies... ]

Does this place have any internet though? 'Cause everything here seems sorta backwards or abandoned.

[Thinks back to Sweden and how he didn't attack.]

Sweden? Maybe? He seemed cool earlier.

That's what I am wondering. I was thinking of possibly checking the mansion, and the school, for such; but until then, I am staying at the shrine for shelter...

[ wait. ] -- You encountered Sweden-san? And he didn't attack?

He might make a good ally, then...

[ ah, but... ]

-- But first... [ he looks down at his clothes, then sets them down carefully near the bank again. ] I really must wash.

Yeah yeah, go catch your cold! I'll wait here.

[And be smelly. She can shower after this is over and she's saved everyone.]

What's at the shrine?

I will not catch a cold! [ still determined! As he turns his back to her and moves back towards the water, now. Here's her chance to push him in. ]

There is not much, it is simply an abandoned shrine -- but it is a good location, in terms of defense...

When you say "abandoned" are we talking creepy abandoned, or "someone forgot to mow the lawn" abandoned 'cause they're two different things here.

[Abandoned shrines always attract really strange monsters and spirits in the movies! She doesn't wanna run into that ghost again!]

[ It'd be amusing? Though he'll appreciate if she doesn't try anything further, too. ]

[ anyhow, he pauses in his tracks for a moment, considering. ]

[ well, he's lowering himself back into the water, anyhow, before turning to stare back at her. ]

Even if it were, I would be fine.

I cannot afford to lose here. [ too many citizens' lives are depending on his survival. ]

[She leans back and waits and watches. Good thing he's still got his clothes on.]

[But oh man, if that place is haunted too... she's never going to sleep.]


Hey! Lets's go look for the base tonight!

[And if push comes to shove she can sleep out somewhere that's not the creepy old shrine.]

[ it's a bit unsettling that she's watching him relax and wash off in a lake, but... well, it could be someone worse than America-san watching. He turns around to focus on washing after her words of encouragement -- he does rub off some stray dirt and lingering sweat from his arms, neck, and lower chest. ]

[ ...wait, what did she just say? He whips his head back around to gaze at her in slight bemusement. ]

You mean -- as allies, then?...

Well, yeah, what else did you think I mean? What are we supposed to do, go as enemies? That'd make no sense!

[Woo work it, Japan!]

Two heads are better than one, they always say!

[ if she actually cheered like that out loud, he'd definitely be embarrassed right about now. Good thing she didn't, since he won't be flustered as he gives his response. Rather, he'll sound quite definite. ]

[ he gives a small smile, now. ]

[She digs through her bag and pulls out the map and a cookie while she waits for Japan to finish his beauty regimen to make a plan of attack.]
