part 335 summer nights (tell me more tell me more)
Like did he have a car? Dodo--dodo--dodo... yeah! How is your July going so far, meme? Good? Bad? Okay? Scrumtrulescent? ... Question mark? This is a very rambling post today, I'm sorry, I'm in a tired rush. A tired tired summer rush. Which, in my professional opinion, is the most annoying kind of rush. I prefer a crisp winter rush! But oh well.
Enjoy part 335!

the building seems like a good place to stop and he kneels down at the other end of the pool, leaning down to wash his face of Spain's blood. but when he looks up he catches sight of Austria and Liechtenstein - as well as... is that America's jacket? he frowns, freezing and staring over at them. ]
no subject
Yes, the water is fine. I think we have company, however.
no subject
...Ah.
[England, is it. Well...he doesn't trust him as far as he could throw him, but he's not sure he's all that dangerous, either. Still, he steps just slightly to the right, obscuring Liechtenstein.]
I would keep that gun covered, if I were you.
[And now he may as well be polite.]
Good afternoon, England.
no subject
Still. These two don't really offer an especially large threat as far as he's concerned, even if he won't trust them, nor anyone else right now. he makes his way around the pool to them, slowly. ]
Austria.
[ he continues to eye the jacket Liechtenstein has. ]
Liechtenstein. Where did you get the jacket?
no subject
From America.
[It's not a lie, but she still feels miserable saying it.]
no subject
Are you well? You seem worse for wear.
[He'll keep talking, hoping Liechtenstein won't. Their luck is just appalling him right now.]
no subject
at Austria's question, he shrugs, stopping a few metres from them both ]
Ah- 'been better, but I suppose that could be said of everybody right now.
[ he turns back to Leitchenstien then though, too curious and unsure not to ]
He lent you it, then?
no subject
No, not exactly...
[As she speaks she pulls the jacket tighter around her, but it does nothing to rid her of the guilt she feels.]
no subject
If people will leave their belongings lying around, they are likely to be picked up. Of course she will return it, when convenient.
[Doesn't quite add up now that she's implied she took it directly from him, but it's the best he can do.]
What happened to you, if I may ask?
[He wants to know who you've seen, and what you've got, before they get any further]
no subject
[ his confusion deepens as he listens to her response, and Austria doesn't make him feel a whole lot better. still, though suspicious, he nods and leaves it. for now. ]
I've met up with America, Japan, Australia and Spain. Got into a bit of bother with Spain... 'should probably watch out for him. The bastard.
[ he scowls, and doesn't add that this is Spain's blood coating his shirt ]
I uh, lost my map though. And I have to meet up with America soon, so you couldn't let me know the direction of starbucks, could you?
no subject
Of course, let me see...
[She reaches for her map, and as she does her arm pushes the jacket out of the way and reveals the revolver on her hip. She gets the map and compass out and looks at it thoughtfully.]
It's off to the east, but I think you'll have to go south a little to get around the mountains.
no subject
Spanien?
[It's...not exactly surprising that they got into a fight, but England's looking a bit bloody.]
And what state did you leave him in?
[His tone sounds slightly accusatory, a hazard of his demeanour, but in reality he's more concerned about the state Spain left England in. Not that he looks too badly injured, but if Spain's wandering around getting into scraps with others- well, he knows how he can get]
no subject
[ but he stops, staring past Austria, at the revolver on her Lichtenstein's hip. he's seen that gun... it was America's. but how... ]
That's America's gun.
[ he looks up from the weapon to her. ]
Why do you have America's gun?
no subject
[She bites her lip, unable to admit to him in words what she did. The guilt all over her face is probably enough for him to guess something is wrong, though.]
[She continues to cling to Austria's sleeve; it might not actually make anything better, but it's a small comfort to her.]
no subject
...Would you blame her for stealing to protect herself?
[He steps aside again, letting her hide behind him. Though to be frank he's not feeling all that thrilled about standing in front, he wishes someone else were here to handle this]
no subject
he steps to the side, trying to see Liechtenstein, trying to gain a response from her ]
You stole it, did you, Liechtenstein?
[ it's direct and more aggressive than he'd usually be toward her ]
Did you steal the jacket too?
[ this probably answers Austria's question. he would blame her, yes. if only because even if it doesn't mean the worse scenario, it does mean she's left his former colony without a weapon in the forest of murderers somewhere. ]
no subject
Yes, I did.
[She still won't admit the rest, but it's a start. He deserves to know the truth, and if the circumstances were a little different she would tell him outright.]
no subject
Now, England, consider the circumstance...
[It's a cautious reproach, meant to be calming, or warning]
no subject
Circumstances?
[ his eyes flash back to her and he takes a step forward ]
What happened? What did you do to him?
no subject
I killed him.
[She says it quietly, but she meets his eyes as she does. She's not exactly hidden behind Austria anymore, but she's also not ready to be completely in the open.]
no subject
So much for that.]
Stay where you are-
[That could be directed at either one of them, and he holds an arm up in front of Liechtenstein. How she turned out so honest he'll never know]
no subject
then he's stepping forward, aiming to push Austria out of the way, and to grab Lietchenstien's wrist ]
No- Why-
no subject
I'm sorry! I didn't plan it, I just...
[Everything she's been trying to forget about is coming back now, and her fear and uncertainty come out in her voice.]
He'll come back, right?
no subject
Remove yourself at once- !
no subject
I don't know! We'd better fucking hope so- Why? Did he try and hurt you?!
[ even as he asks, he remembers America's insistence that it would be unheroic to hurt anyone else, at least until the end. he remembers America talking of Liechtenstein too, calling her a "real sweetheart". he feels his blood boil. ]
