part 335 summer nights (tell me more tell me more)
Like did he have a car? Dodo--dodo--dodo... yeah! How is your July going so far, meme? Good? Bad? Okay? Scrumtrulescent? ... Question mark? This is a very rambling post today, I'm sorry, I'm in a tired rush. A tired tired summer rush. Which, in my professional opinion, is the most annoying kind of rush. I prefer a crisp winter rush! But oh well.
Enjoy part 335!

I heard the announcement.
[It's not something he wants to think about now, actually. Not when he has more important things to do. But some part of him is sure the announcer made a mistake.]
There's nothing to tell. [It's true enough--he hasn't actually fought anyone before this--but it feels like a lie somehow.]
no subject
Yeah, heard that too. Bit of a surprise.
[It was, and with time that surprise has become anger. He doesn't doubt America's dead either. While he didn't plan to hunt down the killer, if he's found him...]
But guess ya don't know anymore than I do. Didn't run into him, shame cause...
[He could have trusted him to have his back a little. They've fought together enough times and since New Zealand didn't get dragged into this mess, thank God...]
Must have somethin' to say.
[He's not sure why he's asking, but his arms are starting to tense on the handle of his weapon.]
no subject
[That's an understatement if he's ever made one. He thought, or maybe even knew, that America would win this. He didn't even think there was a chance of America dying, let alone doing it before he did himself.]
[But he's not about to pour his heart out now, not to a near-stranger who's still looking like he might attack at any time.]
no subject
Like normal, he didn't think about it. His past is short and the future too big for him to think about.]
[He looks over to the bag slung over Lithuania's shoulder. He's not being as subtle as he thinks he is at looking at it. What's inside? There's probably not a weapon in there, unless...]
[Unless Lithuania's hiding something from him.]
no subject
[Australia is definitely not being subtle, and he notices the look. He's not entirely sure what it means, but he starts considering possible weapons and strategies anyway. From what he can tell Australia isn't any taller than he is, but he's a lot bulkier. The difference in muscle mass and the difference in weapons could be a problem... He'll be cautious about starting anything.]
no subject
[He can see Lithuania thinking and assumes the worst. He's got something in his bag and it's something he doesn't want Australia to see. But he also has the advantage at the moment, both in strength and because if it is a better weapon than a travel mug in the bag, he won't be able to get it out if Australia strikes fast enough.]
[Australia shifts his weight on his feet, making a move as if he's going to attack. He's not but he's starting to weight up how to do it.]
no subject
[He reaches into his bag and grabs whatever his hand touches first, which happens to be a danish. Not exactly his first choice of weapon, but it'll do.]
no subject
He charges forward, head ducked, aiming to whack Lithuania with his pitchfork before he gets the weapon out of his bag.]
no subject
[He starts thinking of ways to get the pitchfork away from Australia, in addition to analyzing his stance and movements. It's been a while since he's done this, and he mostly feels overwhelmed, but there's a clarity starting to come through that he hasn't experienced in decades.]
no subject
[Normally he'd be excited to have a wily opponent like this but in this situation he feels blind rage instead. It impairs his judgement, but it also means that he's not going to temper his strength.]
[The fact that Lithuania's best weapon is a danish passes him by completely, as he charges at Lithuania again, prongs forward.]
no subject
[His first objective is to get the pitchfork out of Australia's hands. He just barely manages to get out of the way as Australia charges again, and he slams his whole body weight into his opponent's shoulder. The move is reckless, and it sends a jolt of pain through him, too.]
no subject
[The pitchfork goes clattering to the ground.]
no subject
[Instead of another actual attack he swings his bag up to bop Australia in the face--he doubt it'll do any damage at all, considering the contents, but it's satisfying anyway.]
no subject
[He doesn't wait to see if it hits its target before he goes in again, trying to grab Lithuania to wrestle him down to the ground. If this is how it's going to go, he's going to use another weapon he has more experience with - his fists.]
no subject
[When his back hits the ground it knocks the air out of him, and it takes him a few moments to breathe properly again. Australia is heavier than he guessed.]
[He's pretty well pinned, and actually getting away doesn't seem like an option, but he does try to squirm out of Australia's grip.]
no subject
[He watches him try to squirm away from underneath him before and gives him a whack in the face before trying to pin his wrists down over his head. He's breathing heavily, a little winded himself from the fall and the pain in his shoulder is starting to break through to him.]
no subject
[The hit dazes him, though, and as his head hits the ground for the second time in two days his vision goes blurry. It doesn't hurt as such, but his head feels heavy and his ears are ringing.]
no subject
Ya fuckin'-
[He doesn't finish his sentence, his chest hurting too much. He tries to reach for the pitchfork with one hand while attempting to hold his wrists down with one hand, difficult even when Lithuania's this dazed. He winces when stretching out his shoulder but he doesn't stop trying to find it.]
no subject
[He struggles against the hold on his arms, too, but the shoulder his hit Australia with feels numb.]
[He's grateful now for his bony knees, because at least Australia isn't squashing him anymore.]
no subject
Best if ya stop strugglin'.
[The tone of his voice is perfectly level but menacing.]
[He glances over to see where the pitchfork has gone. He stretches out a leg to try to nudge it closer to his hand. He bites back a hiss of pain as he moves his hand closer, closer...]
no subject
[He struggles a little to get the words out but they're clear enough. There's an edge of anger in his voice that he hasn't felt in a while, and he looks up into Australia's face defiantly.]
[He hisses in pain as Australia puts pressure on his injured shoulder. He's talking tough, but the pounding in his head is making it hard for him to think, let alone move.]
