This is a very rambling post today, I'm sorry, I'm in a tired rush. A tired tired summer rush. Which, in my professional opinion, is the most annoying kind of rush. I prefer a crisp winter rush! But oh well.

[There is nothing he can do as his lungs fill with water, suffocating him; he is unable to even attempt gasping for air as the shock from the taser left him immobilized. His mind screams for unresponsive limbs to move, but there is nothing, and everything fades to darkness.]

[Glances back between Greece and the guy in the pool]

[The guy starting to float in the pool]

He's not dead!

[Oh God he didn't mean to kill anyone hang on they can still save this guy. Forget the shoes he's jumping right in the water and dragging the guy to the side of the pool]

We just. Just have to get him out!

Then we had better do so before he drowns...

[how are they going to get the body out...?]

[kneels next to the edge of the pool and tries to reach?]

[And pushes the body up as you reach. It's not like it's a kid, they're probably just going to have to roll him back up from the water]

[It's not very respectful of the dead, but at least they aren't leaving him floating in the water]

[And climbs out after him. Okay, maybe it's becoming clear it is a corpse. Looks over to you, eyebrows furrowed in worry]

It was an accident...

[Does it count as both their faults? This was just a normal guy, not even a nation. They don't usually come back]

[pulling and tugging the body out of the water, it's rather ungraceful the way they maneuver the poor guy, but it's hard not to]

[lays him on his back and does a quick check just in case]

[and abandons the corpse for Spain]

It doesn't matter. Let's gather up his supplies. Did you still want his weapon...?

[Swallows hard, watching Greece make the check. And it's confirmed]

[For a few moments he can't answer, just stare at the poor guy's body... no, anyone would understand, they didn't mean to. Shakes his head, pulling away and back to the water, slipping back in to retrieve the sunken sword and reemerging with it]

Yeah...

[And he's moving from the water towards the rest of the supplies and grabbing them up too, not wanting to be near the body anymore]

Let's get out of here.

[it's okay, he knows it was an accident and he doesn't judge you for it]

[rests a hand on your shoulder in concern, doesn't want you to just run off and hide from it]

[He's already not really okay, and that body's not helping quiet those awful thoughts that seem to be coming more and more often]

Fine, but I guess maybe this place isn't so abandoned if people keep finding it! Why don't we get to somewhere a little safer for the night?

[It's a little too cheerful sounding for what just happened, but really thinking about it right now isn't the best idea. He turns his head back with a smile and reaches for your arm, pulling back to the door]

That sounds like an intelligent course of action...

[His and that man's bag slung on his shoulder and a new sword held in his hands, they're back out the door and off in the direction they came from. He's got an idea where a not terribly comfortable but safe spot might be between a lake and some mountains, and that's where he's going to take them]

[He hears the reply, of course, but doesn't respond for a while, just turning over the idea]

... I know.

[But he can't. Not right now. It's not that bad, they'll get out of here before it gets that bad, he's sure. And he doesn't want to worry his friend. For now he's fine just walking quietly to safety with their arms linked, taking comfort in that]

[he didn't expect anything right away, after all they still need to get somewhere safe first]

[but any comfort he can give, he will, whether it's holding you tightly against his own body or giving gentle nuzzles every once in a while]
