This is a very rambling post today, I'm sorry, I'm in a tired rush. A tired tired summer rush. Which, in my professional opinion, is the most annoying kind of rush. I prefer a crisp winter rush! But oh well.

[Parts his lips as if to answer, then stops. Brushes his hair out of his face, seeming to think about it. Then speaks.]

Told him I didn't want him to go lookin' for me.

[grips his spear just slightly tighter]


That ain't what I asked.

[Lifts his eyes to look at him straight, his expression as closed as ever.]

What answer are you lookin' for. Let's hear it.

[Purses his lips, looking for a second as if he wants to tell him off for putting it like that, for dancing around the issue like that.]

[Fuck, now he's saying the same damn things that Spain said, and Norway just can't stand to hear it.]

[Hesitates, then slides his arms around him.]

[Closes his eyes and rests against him, tired and sore and his eyes stinging though he isn't quite sure why. There's nothing he can say now that would make it better.]

[His insides twist at that sound. He's always hated seeing him like this.]

[Trails his fingers along his back, just lightly.]

Things were supposed t'be different fer him. He was s'posed to have it easy.

He is. But that ain't how this works.
