This is a very rambling post today, I'm sorry, I'm in a tired rush. A tired tired summer rush. Which, in my professional opinion, is the most annoying kind of rush. I prefer a crisp winter rush! But oh well.

[Oh, he hears footsteps.]

[He closes the door of the room he's in slightly, then peeks through the crack.

Look what we have here. Three little sitting ducklings~

Last man standing wins. No choice, then.

[He mutters to himself, making sure his rifle is loaded and waiting to make his move. This should be interesting.]

I've looked down the hallway to the left and in the hallway attached to that. And in all the rooms off those hallways, of course.

[She's beginning to wonder what they would find, if they did find anything. The building looks a little old; if they found any computers, would they even work anymore?]

[Obviously she's unaware of Russia's presence. In fact, she's facing completely away from the door.]

[jipangu]

[ he'll nod in response to Liechtenstein, not noticing Russia at first -- ] I've been through most of this hallway, as well --

[ ...and then his eyes shift to the doorway. ]

Liechtenstein-san, America-san--!!

[ and he lifts his gun, pointing it straight at the doorway. ]

Don't move! --

[He can see that Japan is looking towards him, so he springs to action immediately.]

Come here little one.

[He reaches out to take hold of Liechtenstein, as she's closest and facing away from him. He curls an arm around her neck and brings up that gun of his to press the end of it right under her chin.]

Ahhh this was not the introduction I wanted at all! How unfortunate.

[Meanwhile she's sprinting to catch back up with Japan and Liechtenstein to warn them when she sees the action unfold.]

RUSSIA!

[She ignores the axe in one hand, going immediately for the revolver at her side and drawing it to aim at him, safety off and finger on the trigger in one swift movement.]

Let her go!

[miss_neutrality]

[She didn't even see Russia before this, so suddenly being trapped against him is a shock to her. She tries to stay as still as possible; it's not a good idea to try and talk in this situation, is it?]

[She's never actually been held at gunpoint before, and her pulse is deafening in her ears as she fights the urge to try and get away. She knows she wouldn't make it if she did.]

[jipangu]

[ and Japan still doesn't lower his gun, either -- ]

It's two against one, Russia-san.

...Let her go.

Pfff I forgot what kind of gun I was using

[He doesn't look very nervous, considering he has two people threatening him now. His smile stays in place, and he almost looks amused by the whole situation.]

You take on step, and I decorate the floor with her blood~

[He pushes Liechtenstein down with a firm shove, getting her on her knees so he could hold the gun easier to the top of her head.]

Do you want to see who is the quicker shot, Yaponiya? I wouldn't, if I were you.

[America's axe actually just makes him laugh. What a weapon to be given in this sort of game!]

[Her eyes narrow.]

And if you do we blow your ugly face to smithereens.

[And just to call his bluff, she inches a step closer.]

We don't have to be faster. Not when there's two of us. What's it going to be, Russia? You won't get anything out of killing her if you're dead.

[It dawns on her now just how real the possibility of her death is, and she looks at the ground and thinks about everything that's happened over the last few days.]

[This is why she should never get involved in things like this. This is what she gets for trying to be involved. She should have just wandered off alone and waited to blow up.]

[She feels sick to her stomach, but her eyes are dry for once in this terrible game.]

...This gun is notable for its accuracy and long-distance shooting, Russia-san.

[ ... ]

We do not have to be faster, it is true.

[He doesn't find this quite as amusing anymore, especially when America steps forward and effectively calls his bluff. He knows that killing Liechtenstein won't help him.]

You're right. But if I let her go, you kill me anyways. I might as well take her down with me~

[His eyes narrow as he thinks about a way out of this, and it's a few moments before his eyes are flashing with something dangerous.]

Or maybe I would take all of you down with me.

[He shifts the end of his rifle to the collar around Liechtenstein's neck, pushing it down into the small space between collar and skin.]

I've seen how large this particular explosion is. I wonder if you two would like to see it also~

[Shit. He's taken it up a notch. And she knows better than to think this one's a bluff. And she thinks she knows what he wants too - someone to die here. She'll be damned if she lets it be the two people she wants to protect.]

I got a better idea.

[She edges closer. It's not a step, but she's not backing off, either.]

You let her and Japan go, and I'll stay. One versus one. Come on big gi- guy, you know you're not interested in them.

[Come on. Let them go.]

[As she feels the gun shift underneath her collar it's all she can do to keep from making a sound. Her lip trembles and she continues to stay still, trying to think of something sturdy. She doesn't have to be brave, she only has to be sturdy.]

[It's easier said than done.]

America-san...! [ he says it softly, and he's not taking his eyes off Liechtenstein and Russia, but -- ]

[ ...he wants to reject her idea, but he'll wait to see what Russia does first -- ]

[That offer surprises him a little. But as it stands he didn't want to die right now, and killing America was preferable to killing the little one currently kneeling at his feet.]

[Besides, America was more of a threat. He could always pick off those two later with relative ease.]

See, this doesn't have to get so bloody after all! I'm glad you saw reason, Amerika.

Drop the gun and kick it over to me, if you would be so kind. Then come slowly. Don't do this, and there will be some pretty fireworks tonight~

[Barks out a laugh.]

I'm not that stupid. We'll both put down our guns, these two will go, and then we'll pick up where we left off. Otherwise I'm not so sure how this deal's gonna work, y'know?

[She ignores Japan. Just go she wants to tell him. But if she even so much as blinks Russia has the upper hand.]

[Despite her fear, she has been paying attention to the situation, and she knows they have no chance if they all stay where they are. They have no way of guaranteeing that Russia wouldn't be able to pull the trigger before he died.]

[She doesn't say anything, but she shifts her eyes up to Japan and gives him a serious look. They can't doubt America on this.]

[jipangu]

[ ...If only he hadn't suggested they check the school--!! ]

[ He wants to speak up again; wants to fight Russia instead, but -- ]

[ He can't. Not when Liechtenstein is in trouble, and America is offering to fight Russia for their sake. He's already lost friends in all of this. ]

[ ...He nods, seeing Liechtenstein's look. ]

[snow_n_sunflowers]

[You're silly, America. He's not putting down this gun until he doesn't have two pointing at him.]

I'm not going to do anything until there is nothing pointing at me, Amerika.

You.

[He looks to Japan with that word and gestures towards the door with his chin.]

Get out and get far from here. I will be looking out of that window there and if I don't see you leaving....well, I think I already said what would happen. I don't very much like repeating myself.

[She expected as much. She jerks her head at Japan, motioning out the door.]

Go on.

[Her eyes never leave Russia.]

When he's out we'll count to three and put our guns down, okay? Then you let her go.

[Don't freak out on her now Liechtenstein. You're doing a great job so far.]

[miss_neutrality]

[She's not going to freak out. She can't. She feels trapped, and defenseless, and very very small, but somehow she's still calm.]

[She goes back to studying the floor.]

[ his eyes narrow further, but he reluctantly shifts carefully towards the door... ]

...Good luck.

[ he murmurs that, obviously meaning it for America, and dashes out. ]

[Just as he said he would, he watches Japan until he's gone, then looks towards the window to make sure he really leaves the school. He's still watching you out of the corner of his eye, America, so don't try anything.]

Look at all of this progress we're making! There's nothing more wonderful than working together~

[He nudges Liechtenstein with his foot, never taking his eyes off of the American. His grip on the gun is steady and unwavering so as not to accidentally tug the collar.]

I'm wondering if you're armed, little one. If you are, be a good girl and slide your weapon over towards that wall, please.

[Hey if she says she's going to do something, she does it. No funny business on her part, but she can't help but feel a sliver of relief now that Japan's out.]

Yep, whadya know! Too bad we don't agree much.

[Not that it means anything if Russia wins this.]

She's not.

[Well she doesn't know that, but she's pretty sure she isn't.]
