part 335 summer nights (tell me more tell me more)
Like did he have a car? Dodo--dodo--dodo... yeah! How is your July going so far, meme? Good? Bad? Okay? Scrumtrulescent? ... Question mark? This is a very rambling post today, I'm sorry, I'm in a tired rush. A tired tired summer rush. Which, in my professional opinion, is the most annoying kind of rush. I prefer a crisp winter rush! But oh well.
Enjoy part 335!

[There's a sense of dread growing in the back of her mind, but underneath that is numbness and a mechanical feeling. She's not giving up this time, not unless someone breaks every bone in her body.]
[Finally she finds the ammo and searches around for the gun. America threw it, and of course it's on the other side of the room, so she runs over to get it.]

Amerika...
[He snarls out, blood pouring down his face and dripping onto his coat to join the blood soaking into the fabric from the wound on his shoulder. He struggles aimlessly beneath the American for a moment as he fights to regain his bearings. It doesn't take him too long, and he shoots a hand out to grab a fistful of blonde hair, pulling it hard and pushing off of the ground with the hand holding the rifle to flip their positions.]
I won't lose this game to you.
[He isn't paying any mind to Liechtenstein at all, focused only on America.]

You think you can win?
[She laughs, a hollow sound. No, there is no winning. She digs her hands into his shirt and knees him in the stomach, but it's not enough to stop the loss of her upper hand as she's flipped. She wraps her good hand around his neck, fingers digging into his skin and pushing him back.]

[When she finally grabs it again she doesn't hesitate; she's glad now that Switzerland drilled her so much about loading guns. She did much more of that than shooting, and it serves her well now as she sets the bullets into place without the barest hesitation.]

Nyet.
[But that doesn't mean he plans on giving up here, even when he suddenly has hands tightening around his neck, choking out air that he's already lacking. He lets out a gasping, garbled sound but doesn't spare a hand to try to pull America's away. Instead he uses the hand in her hair to lift her head and slam it back down onto the ground as he tries to get into a position where he can fire his rifle again.]
[He quickly realizes that she's too close for that, so he lifts up the butt of the rifle and brings it down, aiming for her throat this time to really disable her. He's not thinking clearly enough to wonder where Liechtenstein has gone off to, so he doesn't even give a glance over his shoulder.]

[She barely manages to hang on to consciousness, adrenaline fueling her on, and she ignores the stars sparking across her vision and the pounding in her skull. Her grip turns vice-like around his throat, fingers digging mercilessly into his skin.]
[She sees that rifle being lifted again.]
Nuh-uh!
[She shoots out her injured arm to stop it, fighting back a cry of pain when it connects. She's not going to give him the satisfaction. Her legs kick out under them seeking purchase on the gritty floor so she can flip his fat ass over.]
no subject
[And keeps firing until the gun is empty.]
[Her face is blank, and despite the scene in front of her she's calm. She knows she didn't waste those shots.]
no subject
[But he's not about to let her flip them over and get the upper hand again. He digs the toes of his shoes into the ground and uses what's left of his strength to hold her beneath him. He's not going to lose this, he's not going to-]
N-nngh....
[The grunt isn't audible past the sound of gunfire, and unbearable pain shoots from his back. There are now several bullets embedded in it, and this can't mean anything but the end for him.]
[But he said he wasn't going down without taking someone with him, and he meant it. He lets go of America completely and instead whirls around to aim his rifle right at his shooter's forehead. Just like her, he doesn't hesitate before pulling the trigger.]
no subject
[It takes her a second to figure out what the hell just happened where did the gunfire come from when realization dawns and she lets out a scream as she kicks and pushes him up and off as hard as she can to break his aim.]
[But she can't, he's too big and she can't get the leverage she needs and in a last-ditch effort she reaches for the rifle and yanks it down as hard as she can.]
LIECHTENSTEIN!!!
no subject
[The pain she was always so worried about never comes. Instead everything goes dark before she can even register what happened.]
no subject
[America's yank isn't enough to keep the bullet from firing, but it's enough to pull the rifle from his hands afterwards. It clatters to the ground in an echo of the person whose life it just ended.]
Nobody wins....
[He turns back to look at America with a barely-there smile as he starts to slump over. His vision is blurring and his body seems to be shutting down on him, his coat and shirt soaked all the way through with his blood.]
So will you still try?
no subject
[Shit.]
[She pushes the rifle farther away, just in case and sits up. Yep, Liechtenstein's gone.]
... Yeah.
[It comes out as more of a croak, and she feels like the world's going all topsy turvy. But Liechtenstein's dead, Japan is... he's okay. She saved someone. That's all that matters.]
[Russia though... she crawls toward him, knees scraping on the ground. He's done for. Liechtenstein really did a number on him.]
[She hesitates... then wraps her arms around him and pulls his head onto her shoulder.]
I'm the hero after all. It's what I do.
[Her head is pounding and her own blood is dripping down to mix with his into a sticky sea of red.]
no subject
The hero....more like overly stubborn...
[A small smile curls his lips even when his breathing is going shallow. He's leaning heavily against America now, all of his strength leaving him rapidly.]
Go win then...win and bash that Ramsay man's skull in....
[His fingers curl slightly into her shirt, then slowly start to loosen as his energy fades. The world goes completely dark a few moments later.]
no subject
[But it doesn't.]
[Blood is caked to her head and torso and if she were in better humor she'd joke about feeling like Carrie at prom.]
[But she has to move. She can't stay here. She moves and lets his body slump to the ground and stumbles over to Liechtenstein. Now she only feels guilty for being wary of her. For what she thought of her. She was just a scared kid after all with bad judgment.]
[She whispers a sorry and robs her of her sweater. It's got less blood on than anything she has, and begins to tightly wrap up her head in hopes of stopping the bleeding or at least getting it out of her eyes. It's hard to do with one hand, though. Now that the adrenaline is wearing off she's in pain, everywhere, and her arm is throbbing with a dull ache.]
[As bandaged as she can manage for the time being, she collects both their supplies, even that stupid rifle, and packs them into her bag then swings it over her good shoulder. Looks like she's got enough ammo after all.]
[She numbly walks into the hallway, grabs the axe and makes her way onward. It's too late to stop now.]

...
[looks both of them over, cold and bloody as they are]
Ladies first, right?
[moves over to Liechtenstein and picks her body up with ease]
You fought tooth and nail, I've got to say! This is just my opinion, but it's kind of like you repayed one America's death by saving the other one. Can you see that too?

[a nation wouldn't know about the matters of a random human like him, he's sure, but his best friend is a Russian man, and he wants to treat his motherland gently]
So many bullets and you still kept fighting...
[feels a little shiver run down his spine, but he shakes if off and brings Russia where he brought his small opponent]
