[It's been bugging her a lot, but at the same time it's given her a chance at new relationships that history and stupid stuff have gotten in the way of. She looks contemplative, for once don't get used to it, and sort of shuffles her feet a bit.]

Yeah. I know what you're saying. It's hard, y'know? There's only a few of us from my world here. I mean, I know you, but I don't. [She really doesn't. They've talked, she's punched him in the nose, blah blah blah, but they're not close friends. Not like hers.]

But it can be a good thing too maybe? That's kinda what I decided with Lithuania. I mean he's Lithuania, but he's not mine, so we can start new and stuff without thinking about things.

Yeah, I can imagine. Not sure how well I'd do if I was thrown into ya world, probably not as good as you've been doing here. Even if my lady self must be a real babe.

[The thought of a female version of himself is weirding him out a little - he knows she exists but he doesn't know what it'd be like meeting her. Or any of the other nations he knows well here. America's not so different but the others might be.]

No, ya don't. Think we could get to know each other better though.

[But there's a lot of things he's done with his America that he's never going to do with her. He wouldn't necessarily want to either - the war stuff he could happily leave behind, as vital as it was for their relationship.]

I see. How's that working out for ya now?

[He's interested but as soon as the question is out of his mouth he wants to take it back and it's not just because he likes her. He'd never admit it but whatever she tells him, he's going to use it to measure up his own relationship with Lithuania.]

It's uhm, working so far! We get along pretty great.

[That's an understatement and it's more than she hoped for. It's much easier with him than with hers even if that may be what she's wanted for a long time, but she doesn't want to think about stuff like that. She has no idea what their relationship is like other than he apologized for killing him.]

Yeah, okay, you're right! We should do the "getting to know each other" thing. A date it is!

Glad to hear it! Good to see things working out for two nice people.

[He means it and he shoves whatever sudden feelings of - it's not jealousy but almost anxiety over how he'd measure up compared to either side, which is something he didn't expect to feel - down to smile at her. He can tell that America doesn't know about what happened between him and Lithuania beyond that incident and even though he probably should say something he doesn't.]
