Our sweets are often heavy on rice flour and bean paste. I hear that the texture can be difficult for some foreigners to appreciate upon first try, but many seem to grow accustomed to it.

We add plenty of sugar, of course, along with water and a small touch of salt. The recipe is simple but the results are quite rewarding. Ah—

[lightbulb!! Σ(゜▽゜) suddenly grabs his bag and starts searching through it. he pulls out a small box of anko-filled mochi and opens it up on the table]

I nearly forgot that I have some mochi on hand, just in case I may run into someone I owe a gift. Here, please try some.
