And obviously Julchen wouldn't be either, but she still had to listen to her favorite most adored boss make dick jokes while waxing poetic about the inferiority of women.

I don't think nations are sexist, but nations can face sexism if humans are sexist towards them. Gilbert not being cool with misogyny doesn't mean Julchen never faced misogyny.

I agree with this. Just not with direct, severe cases like "No you will not sign documents, or trade or go to war. Stay in the kitchen, my nation. And you deserved to get invaded for having slutty decorations like this."

Oh no, no, no! That delves more into srs history only for my tastes too.

In most cases it was likely just little things, but centuries of little slights build up. I just can't imagine all humans loving and venerating their nation so much they defied social norms for them and them alone.
