[tries to hide in the shadows upon catching sight of Romania, so much for the cover of darkness]

[Did he hear something just now? Something that wasn't the wind or the waves. Was it footsteps? Nah, too fast for that...]



[He shoves his hands into his pockets, as he turns his head left and right, looking out for the source of this mysterious noise. On the outside, he seems very confused, but that belies the quick, knowing movements of his hidden fingers that were "sketching" a spell.]

[hiding in the convenient underbrush, trying to stay as quiet as possible]

[gosh Romania, it's so late, why won't you just head on home and let gifs do their giffing?]

[Eyes to the left... Eyes to the right...]



[Romania crouches on the edge of the dock as he inspects the boat. His left hand moves out of his pocket and he makes a few gestures. A couple of ghostly fireballs appear in the air, shedding minimal but adequate light for him to see.]

[The boat wasn't dusty... which meant itwas used recently. For what?]

[Perhaps for what that America said...?]

[no, move away from the boat, not towards it] [slowly trying to judge if it'd be worth it to abandon the boat for the time being]

[tries to climb out of the bush as silently as possible, but there's the faint rustling of leaves as eyes.gif moves]

[Romania is engrossed with checking out the boat to hear the faint rustling... but his fire summons do.]


[The fireballs zip back and forth quickly, as if agitated, and Romania's magic sense takes note of their behavior. He turns to look at where they were gesturing. A bush rustling faintly... In the wind...?]


[After a few moments, he comes to a decision, and gestures with his eyes to his summoned fire. Two fireballs break away from the group and zip towards the bush.]

Skreeeeeee!

[skitters off as fast as they can, the boat can wait]

[it wouldn't do to be caught so early, oh no, oh no.]

[Romania immediately springs into action but after a few steps, decides against it. His target was too far away now, and it was dark, too. Pursuit would be more trouble than it was worth.]

[Instead, he returns to the boat, now more confident in investigating it, the fireballs leisurely floating around him.]




[Well... A flame ball managing to set the escapee on fire as it skittered away was consolation and entertainment enough.]
