Re: Say Nice Things
(Anonymous) 2013-08-15 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)Hmm scholarship/acceptance letters can be hard; I like using a kind of storyteller approach and kind of working in stuff that highlights good qualities like passionate, dedicated, responsible, hardworking, honorable, respectful, curious. The hardest question is always why do you want to study X thing, at least for me BUT LOL I've used that Kant quote before "dare to know" but yeah it's hard to put passion onto words I never want to tell people I got into some countries' histories because of hetalia for example :x I always wrack my brain for what I knew about it before hetalia
Re: Say Nice Things
But yeah I mean I had an interest in Russia before Hetalia but... yeah I'll admit the Ukraine thing came after I started RPing her
At least it's easy to me to relate to my initial interest in Russia > East Slavs > Ukraine it's just a matter of conveying my enthusiasm for wanting to teach English in Ukraine and help Ukrainians while learning about the culture
HOW DO I CONVEY THAT!?
I want to study the country and as they move into a member of the global world and just... ughhhh
There's so much bad stuff going on and I feel weird going "I want to help!"
