Meme! Nothing CRAZY EXCITING to report today but... happy Friday! It's a fri-kinda-day, I guess. I wish I had something more exciting to post here. Last part there was exciting news I could post! Well, exciting in a way. It its own little fandom way.... I will stop rambling now.

Mmm I'm trying to go Paleo, not as a short term diet, but as a lifestyle change. But don't worry, I'm not starving myself. I also can't eat a substantial dinner after work because its too close to my bedtime and my GERD flares up.

Oh I didn't think you were starving yourself! I've dieted enough to know that what you ate is plenty. I thought it sounded Paleo, my friend's trying out the same thing! How's it going for you so far?

Not bad! I didn't grow up eating bread/pasta so I don't miss it, but man I miss rice and tofu and soy milk!! I love almond and coconut milk though so I'm not too upset.
I found a couple sites with awesome recipes so I'm not bored with it yet.
I'm almost 3 weeks in? I feel better now that I cut processed foods out...

Lucky you! I grew up with a ton of bread and pasta and that's always what I crave whenever I diet. I've been thinking of jumping onto paleo with my friend but it'd be a challenge for sure. It's good to know there are websites with recipes for it and almond and coconut milk is the shit so I wouldn't mind having it around again at all! And if you've been going so long already than it seems like you're over the big hump. Hopefully I'd have that much self control!

It's better doing it with a friend! I started it because a coworker wanted to change her diet and it's easy to share lunches sometimes.
If its easier for you, try to ease into it gradually by limiting just bread, then pasta, then oats or whatever?? Due to my GERD, I had to change my diet so I had to start limiting myself and cutting out things that I previously loved... I figured I might as try something new to be healthier too?
I'm not sure if I'll do this forever (I really love soy idgaf) but it helps me look at food differently than I used to.

That's a good idea. Cold turkey cutting it out has always been a struggle for me in the past so maybe I should wean myself off of those things. Even if you don't end up doing it forever I'm glad you're doing well with it! Keep up the good work!

Wean things off slowly, like every week or so. I found it easier when I did that.
