The theme's different so he possibly needed/wanted to dress up in something new but just didn't want to spend 'cos he's thrifty like that?

Ah, you nailed it! That's EXACTLY how he looks like! I guess he and Moldova are indeed brothers if he can elicit the same type of reaction if he looks like that :D

I think I'm just really loving them both cause they're, like, maybe the only siblings who outright shows how much they care for each other without being an asshat about it.

That's true! It's different from the other sibling interactions in the canon so far. It's very sweet and cute. It probably helps that Moldova looks/acts like your typical child (always calling for his big brother, admires his big brother) which is a perfect set-up for this kind of interaction. Even surprising is that it goes both ways, with Romania, of all people. Ah, I just want to hug them both!

Me too! I love Romania's smarminess and his wicked, mischievous side, but him showing a caring big brother side too is really cinching him as one of my favorite characters now. And I do love that even though he's concerned about Moldova, he's not being overprotective like how I usually think Norway and Netherlands are.

There's not a lot of things we know about Bulgaria so I wouldn't be too surprised if something like that is the explanation pfft

I agree. He skyrocketed as one of my favorites even more with these latest happenings. Romania's multi-dimensional as a character now (which was tough for me before with little canon to go by) and this facet of him as a caring big brother is such a nice one! It's almost a contrast to his wicked, mischievous side and it's just so awesome.

He does seem protective and worried of Moldova too (but then they were separated so it's understandable), but I think the difference is probably how it's not the suffocating and smothering kind of protective? He seems more lenient with the little guy.

Though I could be proven wrong later when we see how Romania would go about this dilemma of being separated from Moldova.

Well, he does look worried, but he's not trying to kick down the doors (yet) to get back to Moldova's side! I do hope they keep his big brotherness as is, though. I'd rather him not be smothering. It'd be perfect if he was the kind to worry from a distance, but still let Moldova run around and do what he's gonna do. And be readily available if and when Moldova decides he needs big brother intervention. Or if he wants to show off an accomplishment and Romania's there to give a thumbs up and words of praise. Byuuuuu that'd be so cute...

I have nothing to add because those are just the most wonderful scenarios that could spring up if Romania's indeed that kind of big brother.

Y'know, I do too! That would be a really cute trait! Even better if Romania is the type of good friend who will purposely fail right alongside him just so he's not alone.
