part 343 pieces of discounted Halloween candy

stock up while it's on sale! Anyway: I. can't. believe. it. I really can't. I mean, I do believe it. So I guess I can believe it. But STILL. I've been saying all month that we'd get doodles, if anything, but--AN EVENT. An event! <>A real event. With ghosts! And mysterious happenings! And Hong Kong being a butt! I can't wait to see what happens next!

Enjoy part 343!

I didn't say it would make me more anonymous?

then i'm completely lost here. what in the world is the perceived benefit? not taking the few minutes' worth of time to create a sock account?

For people who don't want to have to create an account?

so essentially, you're saying you're too lazy to make an account to sign up

okay, then don't

That's why I said it would be a good option for people with the public account. You personally don't have to use it.

but like what actual possible reason does someone have for not wanting to creat an account

because if there is literally no reason then they should create an account or not participate

Maybe they don't feel comfortable doing it, maybe they don't want to have yet another account to keep track of, maybe they just don't want to. I don't really see the big deal with allowing people the option?

1) what reason is there to not be comfortable?
2) they'd have to "keep track of" a shared account's login and password just as much. and a sock can be deleted, or forgotton about, after the event.
3) if they "just don't want to" they can damn well get over themselves. there is no reason for anyone to accommodate "just wanting to" be irrationally stupid.

I honestly don't see why you have such a big problem with this, since it's not like people are being forced to use the shared/public account.

People may have many different reasons for not wanting to make an account! It does seem silly in retrospect to make someone make an account to use just once. I don't mind making an account for the anons to use if that's what they want.

i'm not above anon, but i guess i'm saying the same thing only i'll try to say it nicer. in the time that we had this discussion, you could have created an account. it's not difficult, you'll only have to log into it a few times at most, it won't cause the issue of compromising the 'secrecy' aspect of the game, you can abandon it afterward just as you would abandon this proposed public account.

But for people who do not want to create a sockpuppet account for whatever reason, the public account seems like a fine solution.
