Coroner's Report 2

[personal profile] meme_mystery 2013-11-16 02:24 pm (UTC)(link)
*New Victims

Victim's Name
: Principality of Sealand [personal profile] bydefacto
Cause of Death: Drowning
Murder Details: Examination of discoloration and a bump at the back of his head suggest he lost consciousness via a strong hit to the back of the head before he either tumbled or was pushed to the waters. His shirt got caught in the anchor cable so he was not washed away but he was still submerged into the water and thus died via drowning.
Coroner's Musings: I would say that this victim's death circumstances are more closer to the previous victim Hellenic Republic [personal profile] greece  due to the head trauma, but evidence suggests that the strong hit that the young boy received did not come from an object but from human force. This brings up the possibility that this was not an accidental hit that gave him a concussion. As a strong person fits the profile of the culprit for this child's death, we wonder if it's the same person who managed to overpower the United States of America [personal profile] daheroyoudserve  who was known for his strength. There's not much evidence we can find because the body was found out of the ship and we have no reliable witnesses to collaborate with.

Victim's Name: Republic of Lithuania [personal profile] lietuvavavoom
Cause of Death: Boiling and suffocation
Murder Details: The lady was boiled alive by the waters of the hot spring. Severe scalding and fourth-degree burns all over her body.
Coroner's Musings: Finding her wasn't a pretty sight. The lady couldn't reach and open the door in time, and her screams for help weren't heard by any staff, who coincidentally were away at the time. Upon discovery, the room was steamed up and fogged. Turns out, the temperature controller of the hot spring was turned up all the way to the maximum, something the staff never does because it was deemed too severe by the safety inspectors. A very valuable clue that leads us to believe this could be a murder is the discovery of a black fuzz near the temperature control. Initial analysis reveals it is not hair, but fibers - A part of clothing. We have yet to determine if the knowledge of black clothing will point to a culprit or at least a suspect.

As for the footprints on the crime scene, they were of small to average size. Sadly, footprint analysis is impossible because they are too blurred due to the steam and water to be of significance.

*Follow-Up Reports

Victim's Name: United States of America [personal profile] daheroyoudserve
Murder Details: Dusting of the victim's room and the victim himself revealed no other fingerprints but that of the victim's. And from an interesting possibility raised by some of our deep-thinking guests, the bed sheets and clothes were examined. No bodily fluids of any kind were found.
Coroner's Musings: The no fingerprints beside the victim's is strange - Was the killer wearing gloves? And the lack of presence of semen and bodily fluids suggest that the victim was NOT engaged in sexual activity with his murderer. Why then is the room messy and clothes were strewn about? Did the killer really engage his victim in a brutal fist fight?

The victim's snapped neck is also curious. He was already strangled to death. Why did the murderer still snap the victim's neck? Perhaps the killer was not confident that the victim was dead from strangulation and snapped his neck to ensure he died? Or is there some other reason? Curious...

Victim's Name: Hellenic Republic [personal profile] greece
Murder Details: No fingerprints found on the metal equipment. So it was not pushed directly with hands. The possibility that this is just an accident is looking strong. However, further inspection on the metal equipment revealed a purple thread stuck on one of the bent nails. It looks like it came from a clothing.
Coroner's Musings: I'm not sure of that purple thread. Was it from one of the guests who accidentally walked close to the equipment and it got ripped off? I hope it is not a red herring, we have barely any clues on this death as it is.
