on my little boat on the meme! How was your weekend, meme? Good, I hope! I am LOVING these updates, by the way! I feel like it's Christmas! But in October and November! It's really refreshing to have new material and it kinda feels like a ~rejuvenation~ in the fandom! Well... anywho!
Enjoy part 344!

Sorry for the slow!
[Oh, Australia. Well... he can't say he trusts him either, especially after last time, but he wouldn't be stupid enough to come near Finland if he'd done it twice now, would he?]
Oh, um, don't be! They'll be back! D-don't get me wrong, I'll kill whoever did it myself if I find them, but that Sweden, uh...
[How does he say this? Wasn't "his" Sweden?]
He wouldn't have known better. I kind of thought it might be him so I can't blame anyone else for thinking so too. I told him not to carry that sword around in the open...
[And he's just as guilty for having Russia fed to the sharks. So he just feels all around awful right now. He's trying not to show it though.]
What have you been up to?
no problem!
Have no doubt 'bout that. Hopefully they'll be back sooner rather than later.
[Tilts his head at that explanation of Sweden, because he doesn't really get what Finland means but it's not making him feel any better for suspecting him.]
Tryin' to find out who killed them. Rather be gettin' pissed like the first night instead, but duty calls. Sooner we find them, sooner things can get back to normal.
[As normal as they can be with several passengers murdered already. Apart from he's found nothing and the only suggestion he has for a suspect is Germany, and he doesn't trust his judgement on that now.]
no subject
Me too. I checked the hot spring earlier, but I didn't find anything new.
[Not that he knows anything at all about detective work, but at least he knows the coroner's reports aren't a bunch of lies.]
Maybe it isn't any of us at all and they just want to see us at each other's throats.
no subject
[He couldn't make himself go in. Not after spending last night in there with the female Lithuania and knowing that her body was inside. But he did read the reports at least.]
Maybe. That was their motivation last time, wasn't it? But if it isn't...
[He sighs. This is unpleasant however he spins it.]
Who do ya think it could be?
no subject
[Too gross. His stomach just can't handle dead bodies these days.]
The footprints weren't very big, so I think it must have been a woman or child.
[How does he say this? It doesn't feel right at all saying a kid did it, but...]
The photo the staff hung up says the Holy Roman Empire's here. His clothes are dark like that fuzz.
[And he's from so long ago, there's no way he could have known the temperature control would do that. Yeah. Finland's seen him in battle and knows what he's capable of, but surely he wouldn't boil someone alive on purpose.]
no subject
[While at least two of the women have complicated histories with her, he doesn't think it'd lead to murder. At least in this century.]
...
[It doesn't feel right with him either, but now that the suggestion's in his head, it would make sense.]
It'd explain things. America wouldn't want to hurt a kiddo either, that'd explain why he'd lost. And if he's from the past, might not have the reserves 'bout doing things like that we do.
[England suggested it might be some sort of craziness brought on by the food here, and if it is Holy Roman Empire who's done this, it'd explain why.]
no subject
I think there's more than one person doing it. There have been two deaths per night, after all.
[He doesn't want to talk about this, but...]
I think someone stronger than Holy Roman Empire killed America and Sealand.
no subject
Wait, two? Surely they would have...
[Actually no, they wouldn't have mentioned that. They'd find it funny for them to get one murderer and then tell them there's still one running around free. It would explain the hit rate as well. He rubs his hand over his face.]
But who? Are they workin' together then? Have to be so they don't accidentally kill the other, right? So back to it being Russia or Germany again.
no subject
[Well... Finland. But he'd never hurt either of them.]
To be honest, that's why I suspected Sweden. If Sealand had approached him like he normally does, I could see Sweden not knowing how to react.
[But surely he wouldn't hurt a kid, no matter how annoying, even back then... Sweden might be dead, but he's still really glad knowing it wasn't him after all.]
I don't think Germany has a motive and he seemed pretty upset with the captain. That leaves Russia, but I was wrong about it being the other one too...
no subject
Never really know with 'im, do ya? Closed book.
[Though it's probably different if you've known him a while. Maybe. He nods in agreement with his judgement on the other suspects too.]
If it was someone else, could be an act. But Germany couldn't lie his way out of a paper bag. And like ya said, wasn't Russia last time, might not be this time either.
[Pauses to think about it.]
Plus the kiddo puts Germany down as the murderer everytime he votes. Wouldn't do that if he was his accomplice. Probably.
no subject
[Although he hasn't seen her at all with exception to that photo, let alone spoken to her. Hell, he didn't even know there were female versions of themselves about until yesterday.]
But that's true. If Germany and the Holy Roman Empire were working together, they wouldn't vote for each other. Of course, I could be wrong about the kid too... What if someone set him up?
[He's not exactly confident after his first vote. He's going to feel really horrible if he's wrong this time too.]
no subject
[He knows several of their female selves running around pretty well by now, but he hasn't encountered Russia yet. If female Lithuania wasn't dead, he'd think about asking her about it.]
It's possible that someone has. Footprints would be hard to fake like that, at least with only one set. Maybe one of those people with small feet but not him. Or he could have done it, and boiled someone alive.
[When put like that, he suddenly feels more prepared to take that risk, even if he doesn't feel great about having to point the finger at a child.]
no subject
[Or he could look for Russia herself, but just the thought makes him nervous. The sooner they get to the bottom of this the better though.]
Yeah, it would have been difficult, that's for sure. The only other ones who could have done it would be that younger Greece and maybe some of the women.
[Sighs. They're not going to get anywhere with what little information they've been given.]
At least we know the chances of it being him are higher based on just the footprints. It's better than letting them choose someone at random.
no subject
If ya do, might be worthwhile. If I see either of them I'll ask too.
[No more keen on finding Russia himself, their one creeps him out and he's not even his neighbour.]
Suppose that's the only way to do it, picking at random ain't solved it so far. Wait till tomorrow and see if we're right, then go from there.
[If they're both still alive tomorrow. He looks back at the screen and starts watching the music number going on on it. He's not happier, but he feels like he has some sort of plan now, and that does help.]
Thank ya. Does help to talk it out.
no subject
[But tomorrow. He's not about to go searching for people alone at night, not on this ship.]
I suppose it does. Thanks.
[Would this be a good time to apologise for shooting Australia in the head? No? ...He'll just leave it for now and use this opportunity to relax while he can.]
