on my little boat on the meme! How was your weekend, meme? Good, I hope! I am LOVING these updates, by the way! I feel like it's Christmas! But in October and November! It's really refreshing to have new material and it kinda feels like a ~rejuvenation~ in the fandom! Well... anywho!
Enjoy part 344!

Re: Night 4
But so far, the evidence points towards the pool area! The wet fabric, the foot prints, and the two attacks!
...Ah. Then, did anybody look like they were scrutinizing the area? Or did you see any security cameras around?
Re: Night 4
[Tries to think back. He never was one for remembering the little details.]
Oh! The Holy Roman Empire was there too, writing something. I don't know if it would be anything helpful, but maybe he left something behind before they, you know... shot him into orbit. It's not security footage, but maybe he wrote something useful?
Re: Night 4
But he seemed convinced I was the killer.
[Closes his eyes as he thinks it over for a bit. It's not as if he can say no to more information - he's desperate enough for clues as it is]
...Ah, it's not as if we have much choice. Very well, show me exactly where you saw him writing!
Re: Night 4
[At least if he's not the killer he'll be safe, right?]
Oh... okay. This way.
[Gets up and makes his way back to the pool area. He's not exactly fond of it now. He makes his way around the pool until he's pretty sure he's in the right spot.]
I guess it was around here? I'm pretty sure he was here.
[Fat lot of good it'll do them if the journal's not there though.]
Ah, I think they should be able to find it, right...?
[Closely follows Finland around, but he keeps his eyes on the ground and their environment in general, looking out for any sign of some type of journal]
[When Finland thinks they're in the right spot, he drops to one knee and begins searching for his journal, though he's not too happy Finland's only "pretty sure"]
I don't see it. If you're not entirely sure it was here, we'll have to search the whole area...
[Or perhaps the killer found it and threw it in the trash]
I don't see why not. o7
[He's really not, but he doesn't want to be up all night checking the pool area from top to bottom for a journal that could very well be gone already when he'd much rather be holed up in his room.]
[He starts working his way around the pool, this time keeping an eye on the ground. It doesn't take him long to find it, although it's a little wet from being left by the pool.]
Germany, I think I found it!
[Holds it up by the corner.]
It's a bit damp.
All right! :)a
R-Really...! [After all that time he's spent searching without any good results, he hadn't expected to find even the slightest sign of the journal. Or maybe that was just because of his natural pessimism]
[Turns his head and narrows his eyes a bit to read it. By the time he reaches "Theories so far: - NONE", he's scowling]
Thanks for that, Finland, but it doesn't really help us any further.
[As far as he can tell, at least]
no subject
[Not that he's going to give Germany a chance to answer. He'll just take that journal back and skim it himself, thank you very much.]
Oh. Well, it was worth a shot.
[Reads it over again.]
But I forgot that no one forced their way into America's room. Maybe it wasn't Russia after all. The one that's not dead, I mean. America would never have just let her in. But I can't think of anyone else strong enough to snap his neck with their bare hands either.
[Well, except Germany, maybe. But he's not going down that road, not with the guy standing right here. ...Not that he doesn't still think Russia's up to something too. There are only two people who could have smacked him with a shovel after all.]
no subject
[Takes out his notepad and rereads the notes he's been taking himself]
If we're going by brute strength alone, there aren't many left. Only-
[He pauses there. Germany's seen the votes and he's not dumb. He's well aware other people than just the HRE suspect him. His cheeks flush a little as he's feeling awkward, not sure how he's supposed to act in this situation. But Finland's not dumb either... He doesn't have to say it and make it even more awkward, does he?]
Ah... America's death is very suspicious. The bruises, the lack of a forced entry, the fact he was overpowered in the first place, the messy room, the red scarf or kerchief found next to his body, and the fact his neck was also snapped.
no subject
[Well, the bruises could have been explained by something else, but the sketchy coroner did say there were no bodily fluids...]
Maybe someone found the body before everyone else and was trying to cover for the murderer?
[He might do the same thing if someone he was close to was to blame.]
