part 344 birdies going tweet tweet tweet

on my little boat on the meme! How was your weekend, meme? Good, I hope! I am LOVING these updates, by the way! I feel like it's Christmas! But in October and November! It's really refreshing to have new material and it kinda feels like a ~rejuvenation~ in the fandom! Well... anywho!

Enjoy part 344!

well, that sounds more promising than i'd expected. i'm going to give it a chance.

i think most of the uproar was because of the heroine looking like rapunzel with a different 'do. which…well, she does. i can't say i dislike sameface necessarily - i mean, i prefer anime to western animation, for example, i accept sameface as part of some art styles - but i understand why people used to western animation are frustrated with disney for not changing up the character design style like they usually do between their films.

then there was tumblr running off from 'wish there was more diversity in disney films' (and i agree with that) to 'disney owes us a non-white princess why are the characters in frozen white???' (which…this is why i don't hang on tumblr much)

personally, the aesthetics of this film still don't speak to me much. basically my only draw to it is that the story might be good, given the good reviews so far, but even so this might be a rent later film for me.

i'd like to see disney do a full length film in the style of paperman. or do some other thing to shake it up.
