SHUT UP ABOUT THE PAIRINGS/CHARACTERS YOU HATE

It's okay to dislike a ship or a character, to mention it, to explain why you don't like it ("not interested", "it's everywhere, sigh", "it gets in the way of my OTP", "I find this character boring", "I don't think I can forget this and that"), but it's not okay to be bitches and/or passive-agressive assholes about it.

Basically, at times I get really tired of seeing in tumblr people bashing characters of pairing nonstop, reblogging posts of fans and adding their passive-agressive comments and mocking them, etc.

Just, shut up.

that is just rude. i don't care if you think their squeeing is stupid, i don't care if it IS objectively stupid and weeaboo-y - make your own post to whine at least, instead of deliberately trying to ruin someone else's fun. like shit if you walk down the road and overhear some people talking about a show you hate do you actually stop and butt in to add your valuable opinion about why you hate it. some people are such dicks, man.

okay, this is more of a Tumblr pet peeve but

people who say "I don't care about (What people say about me, if people unfollow me, if people don't like things I post)" and then... make multiple posts. About how they don't care. Usually with "HATERZZZ" gifs.

when people make germany and america's youth all about prussia or england.

i like seeing them as their own nations, independent or not, and i don't want to ruin that by reducing them to a generic sibling you find in every series.

even sealand has his own development and interactions away from england.

And there's so damn much of it.

Wasn't England not even there for huge blocks of time? How could his entire childhood be about that? I think he was much more invested in what his people were doing and how he was growing.

I like brotherly relationships, and both have an interesting history with each other, but they are not attached by the hip ffs.

Domestic fluff has its place, but what has happened to plot and build-up in fics? These days I feel like all I can find are short, barely 500 words snippets that are clearly meant to be part of a longer story, but the author couldn't be arsed into actually writing it, so they post that one scene that is floating inside their head. Give me a story that goes from plot point A to B and has conflict and resolution and stuff, not a 54th drabble about what character A's hair smells like in bed.

When people cite HISTORY!!!1!!! as the reason to bash their least favorite pairing because it could never happen and then ignore the fact that HISTORY!!!11!! would also get in the way of their favorite pairing.

Most pairing wank pisses me off, just do your thing and don't worry about what other people like. These are cute mens and womens that are meant to be the personifications of nations but it's not like any of this is realistic at all. Just ship who you want.
